Late-night slice pizza in Hongdae, Seoul until 2am: Raymond's

Today I've got a review of Raymond's Hongdae, one of those Hongdae spots that's actually good at pizza and stays open late into the night! It has a set menu big enough to come with chicken and fries too — great for get-togethers or a home party.

Where is Raymond's Hongdae and how late is it open?

Raymond's Hongdae is a 3-minute walk from Exit 8 of Hongik University Station. Hours are Sun-Thu 12:00-24:00, Fri-Sat 12:00-2:00am (next day). Weekdays it closes at midnight, but Friday, Saturday and holidays it stays open until 2am!

American-style interior and the craft beer lineup

Inside, Raymond's has an interior that feels like you've stepped into America. Turns out the owner opened this place because he missed the slice pizza he ate while studying in the US.

As a Hongdae pizza-and-beer holy site, Raymond's only serves world-champion craft beers. The lineup changes regularly, so I'd recommend it to anyone chasing a real pizza-and-beer experience.

What comes in the 51,900-won Monde Set for two

We ordered the Monde Set (for 2-4 people) at ₩51,900 for two! The Monde Set comes with one slice of every pizza on the menu + boneless fried chicken + truffle fries + assorted sauces.

You can also ask for the fries without truffle! My boyfriend's still a truffle beginner, so we left it off!

The pizza is delicious enough that it hardly needs saying~~! The boneless fried chicken and fries that come with the set are also fantastic ㅠㅠ we ate ourselves silly. Haha. There were even 5 different sauces, so it's fun to dip and taste all the different flavors.

Four pizza slices and just how big they are

Raymond's slice pizzas come, in order, as cheese, bacon hawaiian, pepperoni, and mac and cheese, and the Monde Set lets you try all of them. Above all, the size is really, really huge. Just one slice and you're seriously full. This is real, original American pizza!! Thanks to the owner, I basically visited America >.<

It's a shame the size doesn't really come across in photos alone. ㅠ.ㅠ Just to give you an idea — I ate two pieces of a slice cut in half and I was already full. Haha, so in the end that's really only one whole slice. It was so good I wanted to try a full slice of each, but even my boyfriend couldn't finish, so we packed up the leftovers. Hehe, keep it in the fridge and microwave it later — it's just as good!!!!

The mac and cheese slice

I already love mac and cheese, and now there's a mac and cheese pizza!? This is a revolution. Just hearing the name tells you it's going to be delicious! Knowing we couldn't finish everything, we focused on our favorites. The combo of mac and cheese macaroni with rosé sauce! And the dough is on the thinner side, so you can taste the flavors more clearly, which I loved.

Boneless fried chicken and truffle fries

The boneless fried chicken and fries included in the Monde Set are great as a side! Freshly fried, so it's crispy on the outside and juicy and moist inside — so good! Dipping them into the various sauces made for even more variety of flavor.

The bacon Hawaiian slice

Even the crust is delicious at this Hongdae pizza spot, Raymond's. When I put it in my palm, even a slice cut in half didn't fully fit. Walking out afterward, my boyfriend and I agreed this would be perfect for a housewarming or home party. Haha.

The second slice we picked was bacon hawaiian! It's loaded with bacon and pineapple, so you get the full sweet-and-salty hit. What's that? You don't like hawaiian pizza? Try this one anyway. You'll be a convert starting today ㅋ_ㅋ
