Monday pork belly dinner with minari and grilled kimchi: Cham
In short
Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is a Korean BBQ restaurant on the 1st floor of the Piccadilly CGV building, a 1–2 minute walk from Exit 2-1 of Jongno3-ga Station in Seoul. On a Monday evening with senior coworkers, the writer ordered two servings each of cham samgyeopsal (pork belly) and kkotmoksal (pork neck), both Boseong nokdon pork, grilled tableside with generous minari (water dropwort) and grilled kimchi. No wait on a Monday, great grilling service — 100% would return for another Jongno3-ga gathering.

Finally met up with my senior coworkers again after a while. I was craving samgyeopsal (pork belly), so off to Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch we went. I'd heard the wait is usually long, so I was a little worried, but since it was a Monday we got seated right away.
How to get to Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch (1–2 min from Jongno3-ga Station)
📌 1st floor, Piccadilly CGV building, 1 Donhwamunno 5ga-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul

Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch is right by Jongno3-ga Station, so it's super convenient by public transit 🚇 About a 1–2 minute walk from Exit 2-1 of Jongno3-ga Station (Lines 1/3/5). Note that you don't go inside the CGV building — there's a separate entrance on the outside of the building. Just look next to the A Twosome Place coffee shop and you'll find it easily. It's less than 100m from the station, so it makes a great meeting spot too.

The vibe and seating
The interior isn't huge, but the tables are laid out efficiently, so it doesn't feel as cramped as you'd expect. And honestly, the staff are just really good at their jobs… 👏 Even with a full house, table clearing, ordering, and serving all ran smoothly — you can tell the place is well managed.

Even on a Monday, almost every seat was taken.

They also gave us milk thistle before the meal, plus phone charging, hair ties, deodorizer, and other little services. A lot of restaurants charge for charging your phone these days, so a generous place like this is so nice 🩶

Ordering 2 servings of cham samgyeopsal + 2 servings of kkotmoksal
We ordered 2 servings of cham samgyeopsal and 2 servings of kkotmoksal (Boseong nokdon). Loved that they gave us so much minari.

Cham samgyeopsal (Boseong nokdon) ₩16,000, kkotmoksal (Boseong nokdon) ₩16,000. Super reasonable prices..🫶

The staff member grilled the meat so well!!

Aah

The minari and grilled kimchi combo
The basic side dishes come with a generous amount of minari and kimchi 🌿 Since they're a great pairing to grill along with the meat, the staff piled them onto the grill right from the start. I especially loved that they gave us big, generous chunks of kimchi instead of skimping 🥬🔥 When minari and kimchi get grilled together in the pork belly fat, it's honestly hard for this combo to taste bad haha 🤤

At other BBQ places, even when staff grill for you, the doneness is sometimes disappointing — but here, they really know how to grill the meat perfectly 🔥

The visuals are insane haha

We ate well and headed off haha
Final verdict — a good gathering spot near Jongno3-ga?
If you're looking for a good Korean BBQ spot in Jongno3-ga, I'd recommend Cham Dwaejitgan Jongno Main Branch 🐷 It's very accessible right near the station, and while the space isn't huge, the staff are so fast that everything runs smoothly overall.
Above all, they grilled the meat so well that we could just relax and eat, and being able to grill plenty of minari and kimchi alongside made it even tastier 🌿🔥 The meat itself is good, but what really won me over was the combo of well-grilled meat + grilled kimchi + minari.
I'll definitely come back here when I want a no-fail meat dinner for a work gathering or evening meetup in Jongno3-ga 👍🏻 The owner was also super friendly. Return visit rate: 💯💯💯
