Thin-crust mushroom and today's slice pizza in Seongsu: Pizza Slice
In short
Pizza Slice Seoul is a slice-pizza restaurant in a basement on Achasan-ro in Seongsu, Seongdong, Seoul. Visiting around 4:30pm, two people split a Today's Slice (₩8,000 that day) and a Mushroom Slice, along with lemonade and zero-sugar cola. The dough is thin, so two slices between two people is just enough to snack on — thin-crust fans could go for three.

The exterior of Pizza Slice Seoul, a basement pizza-by-the-slice spot in Seongsu

I actually only started coming here recently, mostly because I've been in Seongsu a lot lately 👀 Today I just suddenly (?) wanted pizza, so I walked straight over. A hot-spot restaurant in Seongsu, a pizza place — Pizza Slice Seoul.
Pizza Slice Seoul is in a basement. Just a few steps down and the door is right there. Maybe because it's a slice-pizza place, even the metal handrail post is painted red — cute detail.
Once you open the door, there's a wall sign that says Pizza Slice Seoul, PIZZA SLICE SEOUL.
The interior and seating — solo-dining friendly, plus tables for two

Long tables, round tables, square tables — Pizza Slice Seoul in Seongsu has a mix of table shapes and sizes. I came at a pretty awkward hour (around 4:30), so there weren't many people and I could sit wherever I wanted.

The red tables felt like a good spot for eating alone, and sure enough there were people eating pizza solo. The two-person tables against the wall were kind of cute too. Good for a casual pizza date with a friend or partner.

It's a fully open kitchen, so you can see the huge oven and the staff constantly stretching dough with flour. Watching the dough keep getting bigger and bigger was kind of mesmerizing.
Pizza Slice menu and prices

Time to order some pizza. Even at a glance, these are pretty substantial-sized pizzas 🍕 My pizza-lover eyes lit up 👀✨

Pizza Slice Seoul sells slices from full-size pizzas, so the fun part is picking whichever slice you want from a bunch of varieties ❗️ Honestly everything looked delicious to me. I'm a total pizza addict 🐒 though even I have a few I'm not that into . . (bulgogi pizza, steak pizza, etc.)
There's something called Garlic Knots that looked pretty tasty. Clearly a one-bite item, ₩3,000 each.

1 Today's Slice, 1 Mushroom Slice, lemonade, zero-sugar cola. After much deliberation (?), this is what we ordered.

Today's Slice changes every day, so the price changes too, apparently. The day we went it was ₩8,000.

There's a spot on one wall just for washing your hands. Nice touch. Pizza tastes best eaten by hand 🍕 and once you're done, you can just wash up neatly. Good.
Our order arrives — drinks and the table setup

The drinks came out right after ordering, so we grabbed them and went back to the table. The pizza gets called out by number when it's ready, so you just go pick it up then.

Zero-sugar cola and lemonade 🍋 We originally ordered two colas but quickly switched one out when we saw lemonade on the menu. Lemonade is love, after all.
On the table: pepper, oregano, red pepper, Tabasco, ketchup, and paper towels ❗️ Sprinkle to your heart's content.

It wasn't long before the pizza arrived ✨ Seems like when you order, they take an already-baked slice and pop it back in the oven before serving. The Pizza Slice pizzas looked so good 🍕
The Mushroom Slice and Today's Slice

Mushroom Slice, the mushroom pizza.

Today's Slice, the daily pizza.

But once we got the pizza, the dough was actually pretty thin. If it's this thin, even with the big size, two people could probably have managed three slices ❓ If you're a big eater, two slices per person seems doable too.

That thought got stronger as we cut into it. Idiots, honestly . . we should've ordered three pizzas even with just one drink each ❗️ I felt disappointed before even taking a bite.

Still, let's eat first. We decided to cut everything in half and try a piece of each. Judging by the look of it, Today's Slice seemed like a combination pizza. I love pepperoni, so with mushroom and pepperoni piled on it looked totally like my thing ❗️

A single slice (?) made of two halves — mushroom plus combination. Should've ordered one more slice ㅜㅜ Anyway, let's dig in.
How it tasted with red pepper and Tabasco

I sprinkled on some red pepper flakes, which pair well with wood-fired pizza. Pretty great on this one too ❓ So, so good. Went really well with the mushroom too. Not too spicy, so even a spice wimp like me could enjoy it. Even spice wimps can handle Tabasco just fine.

I shook Tabasco all over the Today's Slice. Something feels missing if I don't add it when eating pizza. So I add it whenever possible — delivery pizza or eating out, pretty much always, unless it's a sweet potato pizza or gorgonzola.
My verdict after eating at Pizza Slice Seoul
I'd had my eye on Pizza Slice Seoul for a while. The day finally came sooner than expected (I was in Seongsu and suddenly craved it), and my friend and I casually cleared two slices plus drinks. It was just enough for a light bite — I still ended up eating a late dinner once I got home. If you love thin-crust pizza, there's no way you won't like Pizza Slice Seoul 🍕 Next time I want to try different varieties. Honestly wouldn't mind stuffing myself silly. Thanks for the meal 〰️
