Milk bingsu and snowflake red bean bingsu after Children's Grand Park

In short

Wonz Coffee is a coffee, bakery, and bingsu (shaved ice dessert) café near Children's Grand Park in Gwangjin, Seoul. After an outing with the kids at the park, the writer ordered milk bingsu and snowflake red bean bingsu — the milk bingsu had a smooth, melt-in-your-mouth texture with a subtle sweetness, while the snowflake red bean bingsu offered a classic taste with plain ice complemented by sweet red beans. It's a good spot to cool down with dessert after a walk around the park.

Bingsu at Wonz Coffee Children's Grand Park Main Branch

After enjoying an outing with the kids at Children's Grand Park, I got a craving for something cold and sweet, so we stopped by Wonz Coffee.

When you're out walking, there are moments you just want to sit down and rest for a bit — Wonz Coffee lets you enjoy coffee, bakery items, and bingsu (shaved ice dessert) all in one place, so I'd happily recommend it as a Children's Grand Park café.

That day, our family ordered milk bingsu and snowflake red bean bingsu.

Wonz Coffee's location and parking

It's located between Guui Intersection and Guui Station, near Guui Highway Mart and Bobae Chinese Restaurant, so it wasn't hard to find. Once you get close, the Wonz Coffee sign comes into view, making it relatively easy for first-time visitors to locate.

This Children's Grand Park café has space beside the shop for about 2 cars, so if a spot is open you can park right next to the store. If it's full, you can use the public parking lot at the Guui Gate of Children's Grand Park.

What was the atmosphere like inside?

Clean interior of the café

Walking inside, the first thing that caught my eye was the clean interior built around white and black.

Black and white tables and chairs arrangement

Overall, bright white walls were paired with black-and-white tables and chairs, giving it a simple yet stylish atmosphere.

Wall filled with black-and-white photos and posters

One wall in particular, filled with black-and-white photos and posters, stood out.

Layered on top of that were art posters and frames of various sizes, books, and plants, which gave it the feel of a small gallery.

Space with art posters, frames, books, and plants

Green plants placed here and there added life to the space, and the vintage posters and furniture blended in naturally, making it a decent spot for photos too.

On the shelves, checkerboard-pattern blankets in black, yellow, and green were also ready for use — a thoughtful touch.

A wide range of menus, from coffee to ade

This Children's Grand Park café had a wide variety of drinks prepared — from basic coffee to non-coffee options, lattes, ades, and iced teas.

Signature coffee menus you could enjoy on the sweeter side, like the Lotus Cream Latte, Orange Cream Latte, and Vanilla Bean Cream Latte, also stood out.

Another feature was that you could choose the coffee beans to suit your taste when ordering. With beans from Ethiopia, Kenya, Brazil, Colombia, and more available, you could choose anything from bright, acidic coffee to nutty styles, and decaf beans were available too.

There was also a wide range of menus for those who don't drink coffee. Smooth options like house-made strawberry milk, house-made chocolate milk, royal milk tea, Jeju organic matcha latte, and sweet potato latte were available, along with refreshing ades and iced teas made with lemon, grapefruit, or green grape.

Plenty of scones and baked goods too

Beyond the drink menu, the bakery items lined up in the showcase were also quite varied.

Plain scones, raspberry scones, apple cinnamon scones, earl grey scones, chocolate chip scones, and more were displayed, so you could pick based on your taste. Below that were canelés and egg tarts baked to a deep golden brown, along with financiers, madeleines, chocolate-based baked goods, and a hefty chocolate s'mores cookie.

Gift packaging is also available

The bakery items weren't just for eating in-store — gift packaging was also available.

On one side of the store, gift boxes exclusive to Wonz Coffee were prepared. With a simple design featuring the ONES logo on a white box, it felt clean and refined.

It seemed like a good option to pick out several scones or baked goods to prepare as a simple thank-you gift or a dessert present for someone.

Two orders: milk bingsu and snowflake red bean bingsu

Since our family had just spent time at Children's Grand Park that day, cold bingsu (shaved ice dessert) sounded more appealing than coffee. So we ordered both milk bingsu and snowflake red bean bingsu.

Milk bingsu

First, the milk bingsu had finely shaved ice that melted smoothly in the mouth.

Instead of the firm texture of regular ice bingsu, it had a soft, melting feel that made it easy to eat without feeling heavy, with a nutty yet subtle sweetness distinct to milk.

Snowflake red bean bingsu

The snowflake red bean bingsu we ordered alongside it had soft snowflake ice paired with red beans — a familiar yet welcome flavor.

The ice alone was plain and soft, and eating it together with the red beans added a nice sweetness.

The milk bingsu suits those who like a soft, clean style, while the snowflake red bean bingsu suits those who like the classic taste of red bean bingsu.
