5PM sunset hour is a dessert café at 1F 103, KCC Suchen commercial building, 380 Eunhasu-ro, Yeongjong Haneul City, Yeongjong-gu, Incheon, South Korea. It's open 07:00–19:00, until 18:00 on Mondays, and parking is available.

An open-air terrace that feels like Porto

5PM sunset hour has outdoor seating, making it a great spot to unwind on a nice day. I found it while searching for good dessert spots after coming out to Yeongjongdo.

The outdoor seats have a red accent. Apparently the owner built 5PM sunset hour based on memories from living in Porto. When you think Europe, an outdoor café comes to mind, right? 5PM sunset hour had exactly that vibe.

The interior has a completely different feel. High ceilings, a bright atmosphere, and lots of color make it a lively, cheerful café.

5PM sunset hour has only about 2 indoor seats, and most people sit outside. I'm an outdoor-seating person myself, so 5PM sunset hour was totally my style.

Menu at 5PM sunset hour: signature Kkokku latte and mazagran

5PM sunset hour serves espresso-based and cold brew-based coffee, plus ades and teas on the non-coffee side. There's also a signature Kkokku latte.

The Kkokku latte is a nutty, rich latte made with Oh Seon-a's own blended milk base. And of course there's mazagran, which comes to mind when you think of Portugal — a Portuguese-style lemon coffee! It pairs great with the sweet desserts on the menu.

True to its reputation as a Yeongjongdo dessert spot, 5PM sunset hour sells a really wide range of desserts — financiers, egg tarts, canelés, scones, salt bread, and more.

Note that bread comes out in batches starting from around 9 AM at 5PM sunset hour!

How the butterscotch latte and financiers tasted

At 5PM sunset hour I had a caffe latte, a butterscotch latte, an egg tart, a fig cream cheese financier, and a Valrhona chocolate financier. The weather was great on the day I visited too, perfect for eating outside.

The caffe latte was nutty and really delicious, and the butterscotch latte was sweet — totally recommend it when you need a sugar boost! Turns out 5PM sunset hour isn't just a good dessert spot in Yeongjongdo, it's a good coffee spot too haha.

Every single dessert was delicious, so my mouth was happy the whole time. The financiers were crisp outside and moist inside, just sweet enough that I kept reaching for more. The fig cream cheese one had a chewy, rich texture, and the Valrhona chocolate one had a deep, strong chocolate flavor — so good. Totally recommend it whenever you're craving dessert!!
