Seafood noodle set in Seohae, Incheon: Haemul Teukbyeolsi
In short
Haemul Teukbyeolsi Cheongna Jikyeongjeom is a seafood restaurant in Seohae, Incheon. I had its seafood kalguksu set with my mom for a weekday lunch, and the generous seafood and sampler boneless agu-jjim nearly had us packing up the latter. Verdict: A comfortable, family-friendly choice for a seafood meal or group gathering.

It had been a while since I’d had lunch with my mom 🧸 We wondered what to eat, and then I started craving kalguksu (knife-cut noodle soup). We look for hot food even on hot days 😄 I went back to Haemul Teukbyeolsi Cheongna Jikyeongjeom (해물특별시 청라직영점), the Cheongna agu-jjim restaurant I wrote about before, after hearing they offered seafood kalguksu as a lunch special.

I love places with lunch-special menus, haha. One of the perks of being on leave: weekday lunch!! We ordered the seafood kalguksu set (seafood kalguksu + sampler boneless agu-jjim). I remembered how delicious the agu-jjim was, so I got greedy again instead of having just kalguksu, hahaha.

A spacious dining room that was easy to visit with a baby
The owner even brought us a high chair! On our last visit, I was grateful that the staff welcomed and adored our baby so, so much—and the moment they saw our baby’s face, they remembered us!!!! They were delighted, saying it was the baby who had visited before, which was amazing. They even played with the baby so we could eat comfortably, and I felt both sorry and grateful 🙊💚

The bokbunja (Korean black raspberry) ade they gave us on the house..💚

We visited at 2 PM on a weekday, after the lunch rush had thinned out, so I could photograph one side of the dining room. As you can see, both the table spacing and the room itself are quite spacious, making it nice to visit with a baby! Since having a baby, I keep seeking out roomy places in case the baby gets fussy or criesㅠㅠ I’ll also show you the inside of the room that I photographed last time.

There are private rooms that are ideal for company dinners or family gatherings! My mom was pleased again today and said she would reserve a room and come back with her neighborhood friends, haha.

There’s a self-service bar beside the kitchen where you can get extra banchan (Korean side dishes)! The green onion kimchi was especially delicious. If you go, you really have to try it 😂

Seafood kalguksu: eat the seafood first, then add the noodles
Our seafood kalguksu arrived. We were told to eat the seafood first, then add the noodles and wait until all the sand runs through the hourglass for the noodles to be ready.

I could see octopus, scallops, mussels, and shrimp. Even though it was a lunch special, the portion wasn’t small at all. My mom said the seafood was substantial, too!!!

A sampler portion of boneless agu-jjim that was quite substantial
The sampler boneless agu-jjim arrived too. It was only a sampler, but there was quite a lot!!!! I already knew the monkfish was substantial and deliciously infused with seasoning 😂 There was too much food to have both kalguksu and agu-jjim, so we packed up almost all of the agu-jjim, haha. We ordered it without realizing it would be this much.

After adding the noodles, we also thoroughly enjoyed the mild, clean-tasting kalguksu!!! Every time I visit Haemul Teukbyeolsi in Cheongna, I end up having such a pleasant meal!! Maybe our baby could feel the atmosphere of being warmly and happily welcomed too, because the baby kept giving the staff huge smiles, haha. Both the seafood agu-jjim and seafood kalguksu were packed with plentiful, fresh seafood, and we really enjoyed them! The interior was also neat and clean, so we could dine comfortably. I recommend Haemul Teukbyeolsi in Cheongna to anyone looking for delicious seafood dishes, or for anyone considering a comfortable spot in Cheongna for a company dinner or family gathering!!
