In short
Gwanganda Jjji is a seafood restaurant in Suyeong, Busan, serving a dachi hansang course by Gwangalli Beach. The two-person course moved from banchan and seafood to sashimi, grilled dishes, fried dishes, soup, and abalone porridge. Verdict: a satisfying ocean-view meal for trying many kinds of seafood in Gwangalli.

While traveling in Busan, I wanted to sit by Gwangalli Beach and have a proper full-table meal, so this is where I went🐳 I was so curious because they said that if you order the dachi hansang (a full seafood course set), it comes as a course from seafood and sashimi to grilled dishes, fried dishes, soup, and abalone porridge.
To give you the conclusion first… I was so satisfied🤍 There were truly so many kinds of food and each one was fun to eat, and above all, being able to dine with the Gwangalli sea spread out through the floor-to-ceiling windows made the food taste even better.
Getting to Gwanganda Jjji and its spot by Gwangalli Beach

Gwanganda Jjji (광안다찌) is on the sixth floor of Sanbada Hoe Town on the Millak-dong side of Gwangalli. Since the building is right in front of Gwangalli Beach, it was really lovely to look at the sea while eating🌊
Gwangalli ocean views through floor-to-ceiling windows
The view really did everything here…🥹 Once I went inside, there were huge floor-to-ceiling windows, so I could see Gwangalli Beach stretching out refreshingly from my seat. The weather was good too, and with the blue sea spread out in front of me, just sitting there made me feel like I was properly on a Busan trip🤍
The restaurant itself was spacious, with comfortably spaced tables, so I think it would also be nice for a group gathering or a family meal👍🏻
A two-person dachi hansang with course after course

This is what I ordered that day❕
- Dachi hansang for 2
The dachi hansang is a per-person course, so we ordered it for two. Rather than everything arriving at once, the dishes were brought out one by one to suit the flow of the meal, which made waiting to see what came next fun too💓

Basic soy sauce, chojang (sweet-tangy red chili dipping sauce), and ssam wraps were set on the table!
Even the first round of banchan (small side dishes) was insane!!! The table was loaded with this and that from the start, and I was already completely satisfied✨

The dachi hansang basically runs from banchan to assorted seafood and sashimi, braised and fried dishes, soup, and abalone porridge. When I visited, a variety of dishes came out too, from seafood such as gaebul (spoon worm), sea cucumber, and live octopus to shrimp, jeon (savory Korean pancakes), and other accompaniments, so it was fun picking at them one by one.

A salad and hoe-muchim (seasoned raw fish salad), which wakes up your appetite with its tanginess, came first, and they made a clean start to the meal🥗

The grilled eel and cheese-grilled scallops were even better because they arrived warm, and there was even precious ginseng,,,🫢

The soy-marinated crab was savory and salty with wonderful umami, while the seasoned cockles and seasoned pufferfish skin were well infused with seasoning, so I thought they would pair nicely with rice or drinks too.

Then came a crab-meat roll, creamy shrimp, and buchujeon (chive pancake)! There was such a variety, from soft, nutty dishes to crispy chive pancake, so it was fun choosing what to eat~~~

The raw abalone had a pleasantly firm, chewy texture, while the steamed abalone was soft and easy to eat. They were both abalone, but it was fun comparing the different textures depending on how they were prepared.
Finally, there was a generous spread of sea squirt, horned turban shell, raw shrimp, and nakji tangtangi (chopped live octopus). I was especially satisfied because I could try a little of each type of fresh seafood.

Thick-cut assorted sashimi and sushi rice
Once we had eaten a fair amount of the banchan and seafood, the assorted sashimi finally came out🐟 The table felt completely filled up all over again!!
The assorted sashimi was cut thick, so each piece felt satisfyingly substantial! The fish itself had that springy, chewy texture, and the more I chewed, the more I liked its mild, clean flavor🤍 It was delicious dipped in chojang, but I also liked dipping it lightly in soy sauce to taste the fish itself!

And of course, the assorted sashimi came with sushi rice too🍣 Placing the sashimi over the sushi rice and eating it like sashimi sushi gave it another nice little twist ^_^
But it wasn’t over yet🥵 The braised rockfish had absorbed its salty-sweet sauce beautifully, so it was fun picking off the flesh🐟 The baby crabs and jumbo shrimp were fried crispy, making them wonderfully nutty and satisfying🍤

At last, crab soup arrived to finish things with something warm🦀 The seafood umami in the broth made it refreshing and easy to enjoy!

And the real final finish was abalone porridge🍚 After all the seafood, sashimi, grilled dishes, fried dishes, and soup, the abalone porridge felt like it warmed and settled my stomach. It was nutty and mild from the abalone, and since it wasn’t strongly seasoned, it went down gently and was perfect for the end😋
Sweet yakgwa (honey pastry) came out at the very end for a neat finish🍯 Overall, there were truly so many dishes and every one was generously served, so the dachi hansang alone was more than enough for a filling meal!
A special meal in Gwangalli
This was personally one of the places I was most satisfied with on this Busan trip🤍 First of all, the Gwangalli ocean view through the floor-to-ceiling windows was so lovely🌊 With just one dachi hansang order, dishes kept coming—from banchan to seafood and sashimi, then grilled, fried, braised dishes, soup, and abalone porridge—so it really felt like a generous feast.
I especially prefer trying a little bit of many different foods rather than eating only sashimi, so I absolutely loved this whole setup. More than anything, the best part was being able to enjoy such a variety of seafood as a full spread while looking out at Gwangalli Beach. If you’re looking for a Gwangalli ocean-view restaurant on a Busan trip, I highly recommend the dachi hansang at Gwanganda Jjji. The food was delicious, and you can enjoy the view alongside it, so it suited a special travel meal perfectly✨
