Combo rice lunch set in Sangam-dong, Seoul: Zilhal Bros Sangam
In short
Zilhal Bros Sangam is a kebab and burrito restaurant in Sangam-dong, Mapo, Seoul, on the first floor of Savoy City DMC Building B. Arriving after the weekday lunch rush, the writer ordered the combo rice set (cider, half fries), a chicken kebab and onion rings. When a salad feels too thin and a rice bowl feels too heavy, the over-rice at Zilhal Bros Sangam — rice, meat and vegetables in even measure — is the light lunch that hits the middle.

I stopped by this Sangam-dong spot when I just wanted a simple, quick lunch.
A Sangam lunch review 🤞

Zilhal Bros, a Sangam-dong favorite, sits on the first floor of Savoy City DMC Building B, with a red exterior that catches your eye.

The interior is dressed up in red and yellow too — capturing that New York taste with a real New York vibe, haha.

Since I came after the weekday lunch rush, the tables swept clean by the earlier crowd stretched all the way to the back.

Water and such were self-serve, and like a food court, there was a spot to clear your own tray after eating.
Zilhal Bros menu: how to order the lunch set
The menu at this Sangam-dong spot is simple!

The mains were over-rice with chicken/lamb/chicken+lamb, chicken/lamb burrito, and chicken/lamb kebab (no rice included),
and the sides were French fries and onion rings.

You could order sides à la carte, but ordering a main also let you upgrade to a set with a drink and fries added. On top of that, you could bump up the size or add extra meat too!

They also sell a range of sodas that pair well with the menu! We ordered the combo rice set (cider, half fries) with chicken kebab and onion rings.
How does the combo rice taste?
Our Sangam-dong lunch arrived.

No secret here — the onion rings came already poured onto a plate for easy eating 😁

First up, the over-rice, which I was trying for the first time — I got greedy and went with both chicken and lamb!

Mixing it up with the sauce, I found rice, meat and veggies all packed in there in good variety.

The mayo-based sauce needs no introduction — slightly creamy, savory, and it went great with the rice.

The portion of meat was surprisingly generous, so I could pile on both the chicken and the lamb at once. Meat, veggies and rice all in balance made it pretty filling.

Piling it onto the tortilla also worked great.

Onion rings, French fries and the chipotle sauce
Next up, tackling the sides!

Onion rings and French fries.

Each side came with its own sauce, and the onion rings were served with chipotle sauce. Its slightly spicy kick paired really well.

These onion rings aren't the kind with a real onion ring intact — they're made from batter, so the texture was soft and chewy. A flavor kids could easily enjoy too!

Next in line, the fries — always tasty wherever you go, but these were especially good. Good thickness, nicely crisp on the outside. A flavor that calls for a beer~

Does the chicken kebab work as a light, diet-friendly lunch?
And finally, the chicken kebab! Rolled tight in a nicely grilled tortilla, looking properly stuffed lol

The combo of fresh veggies, chicken and sauce was easy to eat and felt entirely legit as a diet-friendly meal. A top pick for a healthy meal 👍

Finishing it off with a soda to cleanse the palate was a great way to wrap things up~
Final verdict on Zilhal Bros Sangam
I visited this Sangam-dong spot for a quick, easy meal! When salad alone feels too light and a full rice meal feels too heavy, dishes like the over-rice and burrito — loaded evenly with rice, meat and veggies — hit exactly the right note.
With that in mind, I'd recommend Zilhal Bros for something light that still leaves you satisfied 💖
