Do you often drive or shop around Songdo Timespace? I was looking for beef near Timespace this time and found a place I really loved! If you're stuck on where to have a family gathering or a company dinner in Songdo, Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant (한마음정육식당), with its 144-hour aged meat, is absolutely the answer!

Maybe it's because they carefully age 100% fresh meat, not frozen, but the juices were bursting in my mouth! And there's even a big play room inside the restaurant, which is pure bliss for families with kids :)

Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch is an aged-meat restaurant inside Songdo Timespace. Most people planning a Songdo outing end up at the popular Timespace these days, and we did too: parking is easy and there are so many good restaurants, so it was an easy pick for us as a couple!

The biggest draw of Hanmaeum is that the meat is aged for 144 hours at a low 2°C.

From the galbi-sal (rib meat) to the buchaesal (top blade), the juices burst in my mouth the moment I bit in, giving me goosebumps. The quality is something I think people of all ages would love!

Samgyeopsal and a kids' play room: is it good for families?

The Songdo Timespace branch has a large kids' room (play room), so the kids can head off to play while the adults chat and enjoy their meat in peace! The kids' room is really well equipped, and I noticed many people come here instead of an ordinary BBQ place for Songdo samgyeopsal (grilled pork belly).

Eating freshly grilled, chewy samgyeopsal while watching the kids have fun is a feeling I can't even put into words :)

As you can see from my own photos, the cuts are seriously thick and the vegetables were really fresh, so I was very satisfied!

Can you book for weekends, and is it corkage-free?

Hanmaeum Meat Restaurant Songdo Timespace branch takes Naver reservations very smoothly, and it's corkage-free, so you can bring your own drinks and enjoy them freely. On weekends, when waiting in line in person is hard, booking ahead got us seated quickly, which was so nice.

I saw there was a wait on the weekend, so I booked in advance before visiting! Thanks to that, we enjoyed the "whole cow" (소 한 마리) set perfectly with no waiting.

And since it's corkage-free, we could drink freely! A great place for us, since we love corkage-free restaurants!!

Yes! The Timespace underground car park is really big, so even new drivers can visit comfortably. They also register parking generously after the meal! :)

Both are delicious, but if you want a tender texture, go for the aged beef, and if you like chewiness, I recommend the aged samgyeopsal!

What ages can use the kids' play room?

It's sized just right for babies and toddlers up to lower-elementary kids. It's quite spacious, and the kids loved it!

My own personal doenjang rice (soybean paste stew rice) tip! When you've nearly finished the meat, add a bowl of rice and some leftover beef, snipped up with scissors, to the doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) and mix it up! The savory broth soaks into the rice and makes it extra chewy?!
