I went to Withwich, a popular pasta spot in Guwol-dong, for weekend brunch with Jjoni. Actually, this is somewhere I come fairly often. I would usually stop by for pasta or pizza, but this time I tried ordering a sandwich for a change.
I’d always chosen pasta or pizza whenever I came to Withwich, so this was my very first sandwich. But once I tried it, I honestly thought, “Why am I only trying the sandwiches now?” haha. From now on, I think I’ll end up ordering a sandwich too whenever I come for pasta.
We visited around 1 p.m. on the weekend, and as expected, it was busy.

We visited around 1 p.m. on a weekend. It was lunchtime, so naturally there were lots of people, and we had a short wait when we arrived. Still, as the lunch rush passed and people began finishing their meals and leaving, tables gradually opened up.
If you visit on a weekend, it may be a little busy around noon to 1 p.m. But because Withwich is somewhere I visit often, I wasn’t too disappointed even with the wait. We came for something delicious, after all.

Why it’s a great Guwol-dong brunch spot

Withwich opens from 8 a.m. on weekdays, which I personally really like too. It’s such a nice time for moms to drop their children off at daycare or kindergarten and go out for morning brunch together. That’s why I think Withwich is a comfortable place for moms to come and enjoy brunch.

It’s also fine for a visit with children. The restaurant has high chairs ready, so it didn’t feel inconvenient to come for a meal with a child.
Location and parking

Withwich is at 36 Seonsuchon Gongwon-ro in Namdong-gu, Incheon. It’s located in Guwol-dong Athletes’ Village Asiad, so it’s easy to get to! It is on the first floor of the building, so it wasn’t hard to find, and since I drove there, I was able to use the building’s underground parking lot conveniently.
Withwich’s menu and the Best Brunch Set

Along with the pasta and pizza I love, Withwich has a wide range of sandwiches, salads, and coffee. We ordered the Best Brunch Set that day. It includes a house salad, sandwich, pasta, and two drinks, and you can choose the items you want.
- Spicy Perilla Leaf Bulgogi Sandwich
- Carbonara Cream Pasta
- 2 Iced Americanos
My first spicy perilla leaf bulgogi sandwich

And the menu item I remember most from that day! It was the Spicy Perilla Leaf Bulgogi Sandwich. I usually have pasta or pizza at Withwich, so this really was my first time trying a sandwich there. Even from the look of it, the filling was piled in generously, so I was excited before taking a bite.

After one bite, what I loved most was the generous amount of fresh vegetables. The sweet-savory bulgogi was joined by the distinctive fragrance of perilla leaf, and the crisp vegetables made it far fresher than I expected. It also had a lightly spicy kick, so even as a bulgogi sandwich, it never felt heavy and I kept reaching for more.
The sandwich was also more filling than I expected. I chose it thinking I would have something light, but it felt substantial enough for a full meal.

More than anything, I loved how fresh and crisp the vegetables felt. When a sandwich has lots of vegetables, the ingredients can sometimes taste separate, but here the bulgogi, perilla leaf, and vegetables came together so well. Since that day, I think I’ll order sandwiches at Withwich often too, haha.

The always-reliable carbonara cream pasta
And pasta is one of the reasons I come to Withwich so often! That day, I chose the carbonara cream pasta. The cream sauce was smooth and rich, and it coated the noodles nicely, so it was delicious.
While the sandwich felt a little fresh thanks to the vegetables and bulgogi, the pasta was creamy and rich, so they made a nice combination together. As expected, pasta is something I can’t leave out when I come to Withwich.

House salad in the brunch set
The salad came with it too. It had fresh vegetables, making it nice to have alongside the pasta or sandwich between bites. With both main dishes and the salad, it was a pretty filling brunch meal for two.
In-house roasted beans and the 2026 Blue Ribbon

We both ordered iced Americanos. Withwich roasts its own coffee beans too, so it was nice to enjoy coffee along with the meal. When you enter the restaurant, you can also see its 2026 Blue Ribbon selection notice.

A Guwol-dong brunch spot that’s good with children
Trying the sandwich for the first time made me feel that Withwich is not just somewhere to come for pasta or pizza—it’s also a really nice place for brunch. It opens from 8 a.m., so it is great for moms to have brunch together after dropping off their children, and high chairs are available, making it suitable for a visit with a child too.
There may be a wait at weekend lunchtime like there was for us, so if you want a more relaxed meal, it may be nice to visit slightly outside peak hours.
I’m a regular, so why did I wait this long to try the sandwich?
I always had pasta or pizza when I came to Withwich, but the Spicy Perilla Leaf Bulgogi Sandwich I tried for the first time this visit was much more delicious than I expected! I especially loved the crisp texture from all the fresh vegetables, and with the perilla leaf, bulgogi, and a lightly spicy flavor, it was far tastier than I had imagined.
So next time I come to Withwich, I think I’ll have to decide between pasta and a sandwich. Haha. If you want pasta in Guwol-dong but also want to enjoy a sandwich or brunch, I think it would be nice to choose one item each and try them like I did. I’m already thinking about what to have on my next visit.
