Jung, Busan sushi restaurant date meal: Moshi Moshi Sushi

While on a date near Nampo-dong, I visited Moshi Moshi Sushi at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok to combine shopping and a meal. Wanting thick-cut sashimi, I ordered two kinds of sashimi set meals, and was pleased with both the texture and the generous portions.

Where is the restaurant, and what was parking like?

The restaurant is on the 10th floor of the main building at Lotte Department Store Gwangbok. It was convenient to park in the department store basement and take the elevator up. That took away the hassle of looking for parking in the streets of Nampo-dong.

Is it a good atmosphere for a date? Did I make a reservation?

The atmosphere was calm from the entrance, and the interior was neatly arranged. I saw couples on dates, and there was also a space for groups where families could dine together.

I made a reservation in advance. Many guests arrived without one, but the table space was not especially spacious, so seats filled quickly at mealtime. I was also told there could be a wait during lunch or dinner hours.

At the time of my visit, Naver Reservation was available, and Catchtable reservations could also be made at the restaurant entrance. If I wanted a quieter meal, I thought it would be better to visit just after opening or slightly outside the main meal times.

What were the prices and components of the two sashimi set meals?

The menu ranged from individual sushi orders to sets. I initially considered ordering individual items, but after seeing the set meals at nearby tables, I ordered one Sashimi Set Meal at ₩31,900 and one Better Sashimi Set Meal at ₩35,900.

The tray arrived with salad, side dishes, and the main dish together. The meal was neatly arranged, and I thought it would also be suitable for dining with older family members. Even before eating, it looked like it would be filling.

Were the sashimi texture and portion size satisfying?

What I liked most was the sashimi’s thickness and texture. The fish was sliced to preserve its grain, so it was not mushy and had a pleasantly springy bite. In both set meals, I did not notice any fishy taste; there was a subtle sweetness and nuttiness. The rice was at an appropriate temperature and held together well, pairing smoothly with the sashimi.

As I ate, I realized there was more food than expected. I felt it would not be insufficient even for an adult man, and although I usually eat well, I left a little of the udon. The meal felt filling for the price, and I was satisfied with our date meal.

What kind of day would I return for?

I would return on a day when I wanted to shop at the department store and have a neatly prepared meal. The clean facilities, sashimi texture, and filling portions stayed with me. It was also easy to find beside the Culture Center. However, it can get crowded at mealtimes, so I would likely consider making a reservation again.
