On Sep 3, 2026, I had a late lunch with my child at Midam Kitchen (미담키친) during our trip to Gyeongju. After mostly eating Korean food, I was craving hearty Western food, so we came here. The tiled roof and stone walls immediately caught my eye.

Is the atmosphere suited to a date meal?
Past the entrance, there was a charming courtyard and a stone-walled path. It looked nice for photos, and although it was a little overcast that day, the hanok and courtyard together had a lovely atmosphere.

Inside, it was neat and cozy. There was plenty of space between tables, so we could eat comfortably, and the green courtyard was visible through the large windows. Since you can dine while looking out at the courtyard, I thought it would also be nice to come with a partner.

What was it like dining with a child?
I wanted to sit by the window, but because I was with my child, we chose an inner table that felt more comfortable for us.

Each table had a tablet, which made it easy to look through the menu and order.

High chairs were also available. The restroom was inside the restaurant and was kept clean, so it was convenient to use before or after our meal.
What did we order, and how much did it cost?
There were Western dishes including pasta, pizza, pork cutlet, and salad. We ordered pork loin cutlet for my child, Toowoomba pasta for my husband, and the ricotta salad I wanted to try.

- Pork loin cutlet: ₩14,900
- Toowoomba pasta: ₩15,900
- Ricotta salad: ₩12,900
Prices are as of my visit.
How were the portions and flavors of the three dishes?
The food came out one by one, and the large plates of pork cutlet and salad especially stood out. All three dishes felt generously portioned.

How generous was the ricotta salad?
I held a spoon and my hand near the salad to show its size. It was much bigger than my hand, and it was generously topped with vegetables and ricotta cheese.

Fresh vegetables, nutty ricotta cheese, and a tangy dressing came together to whet my appetite.

Did my child enjoy the pork loin cutlet?
The large pork loin cutlet was crisp outside and moist inside, so my child ate it well too. The accompanying sauce was mild and smooth, and it paired well with the cutlet.

What did the Toowoomba pasta sauce taste like?
The Toowoomba pasta, topped with large shrimp, was spicy yet creamy. The noodles were pleasantly chewy and well coated in sauce, so I did not get tired of it even by the end.

Where is it, and what about hours and parking?
The address is 33 Cheomseong-ro 49beon-gil, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongbuk. The hours listed in the original post are 10:30–21:00 from Thursday through Tuesday, with last orders at 20:30. It is regularly closed every Wednesday, and there is no on-site parking.

We used the nearby Hwangridan-gil Central Parking Lot. It was ₩1,500 per hour on weekdays, and I was told it costs more on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. From the parking lot, it was about 140 m through a narrow alley, or around a 2-minute walk.
We had a comfortable meal with our child in the hanok atmosphere, and I was pleased with both the taste and portions. The next time I come to Gyeongju, I would like to try a pizza we did not have this time.
