Songpa brunch café with Changokcheon views: Cafe The Venezia

On a sunny afternoon that put me in a good mood, I went out for brunch with my sister. I had often passed this spot while walking around Wirye and Changokcheon Stream, so I was so happy that such a pretty brunch café had opened here. Parking in the building was convenient, and they gave us a generous 2.5 hours of parking, making it just the place to drive to and settle in for a good chat. The place I visited with that excited feeling was Cafe The Venezia, a great brunch spot in Wirye. ☕️

Set on a corner beside Changokcheon Stream and the tram line, it offered an open, lovely view from wherever I sat inside.

The moment I stepped inside, the expansive view and cozy, stylish interior softly lit by chandelier lighting caught my eye.

The large folding doors were thrown wide open, with cool-looking Changokcheon Stream right outside, creating an airy, unhurried, restorative atmosphere.

There was also atmospheric outdoor terrace seating, while the self-service bar thoughtfully had blankets for guests and even cushions for dogs. It looked like a really nice place to stop comfortably while walking with a pet.

Brunch sets and bakery menu

Looking through the counter display and chalkboard menu, I spotted bakery items such as salt bread, maple pecan bread, and sweet red bean bread, along with cake slices and a good-value brunch set for two.

There were substantial set menus with a croissant, panini, or club sandwich, plus a fresh salad and two Americanos, so it was fun choosing between them. They also had one-person sandwich sets that would be nice to enjoy alone, as well as a new bagel set.

Brunch sets can be ordered daily from 10:00 to 14:30. Freshly baked breads begin coming out one by one from 10:30 every morning, so visiting around then seemed like an even better idea. There was a wide selection of sides too, including salad, buffalo wings, and nachos—perfect not only for brunch but also as light snacks with beer.

After some deliberation, we ordered the grilled bulgogi panini brunch set.

The hot, freshly grilled panini had crisp bread on the outside and a chewy interior, packed with flame-grilled bulgogi, melted savory cheese, and bright tomato. The rich umami burst out with the first bite.

The generous salad alongside it had grilled mushrooms and nut toppings for wonderful texture. With plenty of sweet-tangy Oriental dressing, it was a fantastic match for the panini.

Add a clean, refreshing iced Americano, and it was a perfect brunch meal right down to the last sip.

Being able to enjoy a delicious meal while looking over the blue waterside walking trail made this an unbeatable place for a relaxed, restorative break. Above all, the 2.5 hours of free parking meant we could chat generously without feeling rushed, with no worries about parking time. With tasty food, an easygoing waterside view, and convenient parking, Cafe The Venezia is a brunch café I would strongly recommend to Wirye locals.
