Haeundae Western restaurant, truffle gnocchi & clear Tabasco: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a European-style Western restaurant on the 2nd floor of a building on Dalmaji-gil in Haeundae, Busan. The writer ordered the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi (₩22,000), the arugula prosciutto pizza (₩22,000) and a Zero Coke (₩2,000), finding the gnocchi rich and creamy and the pizza dough pleasantly chewy, and the meal came with a clear, dye-free Tabasco. I was craving gnocchi loaded with thick, rich cream! So I went to Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점), near Haeundae's Dalmaji area. The exterior is so full of charm! The red windows caught my eye, so I was already excited before going in!

Where do you park?
There's space for 5 cars on the 1st floor, and you can also park in front of the shop on the 2nd floor. If there's no spot, it looks like you can park on the roadside too!

The same building has a Bueokgan Chinese restaurant as well as the European restaurant Bueokgan! I visited the one on the 2nd floor!

When you get off on the 2nd floor, you see the entrance right away, and the lattice detailing is so pretty!

A different mood in every part of the hall
The interior at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch stretches wide to both sides, so you can pick where to sit. Once inside, I saw the restaurant spreads out broadly in both directions! The left side has floor-to-ceiling windows that make it feel open, plus orange sofas and accent colors, so it feels bright overall!

The middle of the restaurant feels warm and a bit cozier! It really feels like a European restaurant. Each area has its own mood, so you can choose where to sit.

The innermost area felt clean and modern, so personally it was my favorite! Since the place is big, there are plenty of tables and they're spaced widely, which made it perfect for a relaxed meal!
What we ordered at Bueokgan Haeundae Branch, and the prices
At Bueokgan Haeundae Branch I ordered the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi for ₩22,000, the arugula prosciutto pizza for ₩22,000 and a Zero Coke for ₩2,000. Here's the menu! You order on the tablet at the table. True to a European Western restaurant, they sell a wide range: pasta, salad, pizza and even steak!

The tableware was neat and prettily set, which put me in a good mood haha

Colorless Tabasco
The dishes came out almost at the same time! They also gave us Tabasco sauce, and it was an unusual one without any coloring! I tasted it and, funnily enough, it tasted like regular Tabasco, which was fun and a little amazing haha

How was the arugula prosciutto pizza?
First, the arugula prosciutto pizza! It was piled with fresh arugula, and the salty prosciutto went so well with it! The subtle aroma and texture of the arugula matched the prosciutto, and the dough was chewy and delicious!

The amount of cheese was moderate, not overdone, so I could fully taste the plain flavor of the dough and the toppings! It tasted clean, and with the Tabasco that came alongside it had a slight kick and was delicious!

The pickles served with it were crunchy and refreshing, perfect for cleansing the palate between bites!

Truffle mushroom cream gnocchi: how big is the portion?
This is the truffle mushroom cream gnocchi! As you can tell from the plate, the portion is quite big! It's golden-seared gnocchi in a thick cream sauce packed with mushrooms! A subtle truffle scent hit me as soon as it arrived, which I loved haha

The gnocchi pieces are quite large, so one bite is full and you really taste the cream and the gnocchi together. With the mushrooms it was nutty, and the mushroom and truffle aromas came through nicely, so it was delicious!

The gnocchi had several kinds of mushrooms, so the textures and flavors varied and it was full of mushroom aroma! The sauce was thick and tasty, so I dipped the pizza crust ends from earlier into it, and that was delicious too!
Overall verdict
⭐⭐⭐ With the atmosphere, the interior and the friendly service, it's a perfect brunch spot! I recommend it as a brunch place near Haeundae's Dalmaji area!
