You can choose from all sorts of delicious, generously filled rolls, and parking is available too, so it’s such a good place for a quick meal in Sangam. Since they offer takeaway and delivery, I’d also recommend it for group gimbap orders.

Samhyeongje Gimbap, Sangam branch is on the first basement level of Nuritkum Square, 785 m from Exit 1 of Susaek Station. Guests can park for free in the building’s underground lot, so I drove over comfortably!

It specializes in takeaway and delivery, so there aren’t dedicated dining tables, but there’s a long bench and about two small tables to the side. You can sit and wait for a moment, or quickly eat your gimbap there. Honestly, Koreans can scarf down gimbap in no time anyway! 🙋♀️

Yubu gimbap varieties that are easy to mix and match

Samhyeongje Gimbap, Sangam branch had so many varieties: Original Yubu Gimbap, Ham and Imitation Crab Yubu Gimbap, Spicy Fish Cake Yubu Gimbap, Assorted Yubu Gimbap, Spicy Pepper Yubu Gimbap, Tuna Yubu Gimbap, Kimchi Tuna Yubu Gimbap, Cheese Yubu Gimbap, Kimchi Yubu Gimbap, Creamy Salad Yubu Gimbap, Mini Yubu Gimbap, and more. (I also saw their new Dried Seasoned Squid Yubu Gimbap!) They all looked like they’d be so delicious 😆

Each kind was neatly wrapped beside its label, so it was easy to tell them apart and choose what I wanted.

They also sell cup noodles that go perfectly with gimbap. Such a good idea!! Gimbap and ramen are a match made in heaven~~

I heard that Samhyeongje Gimbap preserves the original flavor of Haenam Original Gimbap, a 40-year tradition that began at Nambu Market in Bangbae-dong.

Payment and packing are self-service! Put the gimbap and as many chopsticks as you need into a bag, then pay. There was miso soup mix too, so I grabbed some. The owner recommended it, saying the miso soup was delicious 😊

I chose Original Yubu Gimbap, Spicy Pepper Yubu Gimbap, and Cheese Yubu Gimbap! I was really looking forward to trying them 😍

The gimbap I opened as soon as I got home! The rolls were plump and packed full.

I dissolved the miso soup mix in hot water and had it alongside the gimbap. It tasted exactly like the familiar miso soup we all know, so it went really well with the rolls! Having that hot broth was just the best.

These are the modern-style gimbap rolls that are loaded with ingredients. This kind of gimbap is so, so good ❤️ They were nice and plump, and they looked absolutely delicious from the start!!

I plated them up and tried each one with hot miso soup.

They were so generously filled that each roll’s own charm came through beautifully, and they were all so tasty. The Spicy Pepper Yubu Gimbap had an appealing kick, the Cheese Gimbap had a lovely savory cheese flavor, and the Original Yubu Gimbap was delicious with the texture of fried tofu pockets and its clean, mild gimbap flavor ☺️ The verdict is, every flavor is delicious!!
