The moment I walked in, I went, “Wow!” The dining room is not huge, but its floor-to-ceiling windows made the wide-open view absolutely spectacular.

It almost felt as if we were eating outdoors. Best of all, the Aewol sea was right there, so whenever I looked up from my noodles, I could enjoy the gorgeous scenery exactly as it was.

Since all three sides have full windows, you can see the scenery outside from any seat—no need to battle over tables, which was nice too.

We arrived around noon on a weekday and ate without waiting, but it was almost full, so I think there could be a wait on weekends. Keep that in mind :)

Self-serve side dishes

The basic side dishes are self-serve, so you can bring over whichever kinds you would like. There were simple vegetable sides that go perfectly with noodles: fresh kimchi, pickled dried radish strips, and peppers. The staff kept tending to it, so even though it was self-serve, it was very clean.

Let me tell you about the Jeju signature pork noodles we ate with an ocean view through the full windows~

Ta-da, doesn't it look refreshing!? These pork noodles came packed with bean sprouts and scallions, in a truly enormous bowl. It felt full of Jeju's generous warmth.

The broth had the richness of beef bone broth, plus a refreshing quality from the bean sprouts. I am a broth person, so I just kept spooning it up. Having that warm beef-bone broth on an empty stomach in the morning felt easy on my stomach, and it washed down the drinks from the night before so refreshingly.

And there were loads of bean sprouts for an extra clean, refreshing finish! Drinks are a must on a trip night, and a hangover cure is a must the next day, so if you are looking for good pork noodles for that near Aewol, visit Handam Guksu Gwakji Aewol Branch~ The broth was delicious, and the noodles were soft yet chewy, without any floury taste.

There was also plenty of pork, so instead of eating only noodles and missing out nutritionally, we got protein too—perfect carbs, protein, and fat. The noodles, pork topping, and broth were such a good combination.

Chilled dombe pork ₩15,000

We also ordered chilled dombe pork (Jeju-style boiled pork served cold). I worried it might taste fishy because it was chilled, but it did not, and it was thinly sliced, making it easy to eat with the noodles.

With the wasabi and sauce served alongside it, the savory flavor really came through, and it was great paired with the noodles.
