Romaok, already known as a great pasta spot in Gangnam and Magok! I heard it had opened Romaok Riverside (로마옥 리버사이드) in Namyangju with an unobstructed Han River view, so I had to go ❤️

You can park easily at the Namyangju Han River Sports Park parking lot right in front of the restaurant ☺️ There was plenty of space, so no parking stress—and the wide-open Han River view the moment I got out instantly lifted my mood 🩵

The path up the stone steps is full of trees and carefully tended plants, so it already feels properly healing before you even sit down to eat,, 💛 It would be pretty in bright daytime too, but around sunset it seems to have a particularly tranquil charm ✨

Follow the stone path laid across the lush, spacious lawn and you reach the entrance. With the lovely lighting, it was the kind of scenery where you can just stand there, take a photo, and get a life-shot right away 💫

Across from the building, there is this gorgeous terrace with a sweeping Han River view right before your eyes ✨

Warm wood interiors and garden views through picture windows

The warm wood-tone tables and soft lighting create such a cozy, calming atmosphere! The tables are spaced fairly far apart too, making it perfect for a relaxed meal and quiet conversation without worrying about people around you ☺️

Especially, the wine racks filling the wall serve as such a strong interior accent, adding a spoonful of luxurious feeling,, 🍷

The view spreading out beyond the picture windows makes the whole space feel warm! You can take in the green garden and riverside scenery at a glance without even going outside 💚

There is a kiosk at every table, which was nice because you can take your time looking at menu photos and choosing ☺️

At Romaok, you can enjoy dishes created by a chef who trained at Madonnina del pescatore, a two-Michelin-star restaurant in Italy, paired with a range of wines.

As soon as the food came out, the chef came over and kindly explained every dish. It made me think, “Of course, a place recognized by Blue Ribbon and Michelin is on another level,”,, 🥹

Sous-vide pork jowl with Marsala sauce and pine nut caprese

What I ordered: 🍝 sous-vide pork jowl with Marsala sauce and 🥗 pine nut caprese salad

The Marsala sauce had a slight curry-like quality. Its gentle spice and exotic flavor balanced the pork jowl, which could otherwise have felt rich, so I enjoyed it deliciously right to the end without getting tired of it. Having it with the roasted cauliflower and mini cabbage on the side made the textures even more interesting 👍🏻

Maybe because it was cooked sous-vide, the pork jowl's distinctively springy yet tender texture really came through. It felt like it just melted in my mouth! 🤩

The crisp texture of fresh vegetables paired with ricotta cheese 🤍

The soft cheese, tangy dressing, and nutty aroma went so well together when piled onto bread! 🥗 It definitely had a different appeal from an ordinary caprese,, ✨ One bite filled my mouth with nuttiness and freshness 🫧

From garden events to second-floor coffee with night views

Romaok Riverside reportedly offers outdoor private bookings in its spacious garden with a Han River backdrop—for small weddings, outdoor weddings, first-birthday parties, and more—with the chef's course meals 💎

After dinner, there is absolutely no need to go searching far away for another café—just head upstairs and have a coffee while looking at the night view! The Han River can be seen through the picture windows, and when night falls, the twinkling lights outside blend with the view for maximum atmosphere... I totally recommend it as a date course! 🥰

There is a very neat, spacious white long table on one side. It seems like it would be so nice for a gathering or for the whole family to get together too 🤍

Even the thoughtful touch of high chairs tucked into the corner... I thought families visiting with children or larger groups could relax comfortably here 🫶🏻

The delicious meal was truly satisfying, but this view I encountered after stepping outside once dinner was over was seriously perfect... 🥹

A Han River sunset you must see around dusk

As the sun went down, the sky turned red,, and the sunset reflecting on the gentle Han River ripples was truly like a painting,,!! Then the city lights across the river came on one by one, completing the night view. After your meal, take a little walk in the river breeze or snap some photos here—you are guaranteed to get life-shots! 📸✨

Nothing was missing, from the food and view to the atmosphere and service, so I think it would be impossible to go wrong whether you come as a couple on a date, bring your parents, or celebrate a special occasion! 👍🏻 If you visit Romaok Riverside, enjoy a delicious meal, then definitely come out around sunset and soak up this fantastic night view too!
