In short

Samsigi-ne Jungang Gojan is a Korean gastropub on Gwangdeok 2-ro in Gojan-dong, Ansan, Gyeonggi. The 52,000 won samsigi-hansang (Samsigi set meal) arrived with charcoal-grilled pork jeyuk, mukbap (chilled acorn jelly soup), a thick rolled egg and Korean beef brisket seaweed soup, and the wide-open windows gave the indoor room an open-air pojangmacha feel. I was looking for a filling place to eat and drink in Gojan-dong, Ansan, and Samsigi-ne's set meal looked so hearty and delicious that I had to try it!! Since it's all Korean food, it's a great spot if you want to taste a bunch of different dishes at once haha. I was so satisfied that I really want to recommend it, so let me write up my review 🖤

Windows wide open: an open-air pojangmacha feel indoors

Samsigi-ne Jungang Gojan keeps its windows wide open, so even though you're indoors it feels like sitting at an open-air pojangmacha (street food tent bar). It was already full when I walked in, and even the photo I took on my way out, after finishing my meal, showed a packed house.

It's the season for pojangmacha vibes haha. With the windows flung open it really felt like an outdoor drinking spot even though we were inside, and I loved it 😊 Maybe because it's such a popular spot, it was fully booked when I arrived!! Even the photo I took on the way out after finishing showed it still packed with customers — definitely a certified good restaurant~~~

What comes in the 52,000 won Samsigi set meal?

The Samsigi-hansang set is ₩52,000 and comes with charcoal-grilled pork, acorn jelly, egg roll, Korean beef brisket seaweed soup, and cabbage salad. It was almost too much for two people.

The full Samsigi-hansang set spread across the table

When the set arrived, I swear the table legs were about to buckle,,, the portions were seriously so generous!!! I already want to eat it again....🥹

Charcoal-grilled pork jeyuk with a smoky edge that calls for rice

First I tried the charcoal-grilled pork, and it was packed with that smoky charred flavor 👍 The seasoning had really soaked into the meat, so I thought, I absolutely have to order rice with this..... The char-grilled aroma added a completely different vibe from regular stir-fried pork!!!

With two of us it was already a lot of food so I tried not to order rice, but the pork was just too good to resist, so we thought, let's eat even if we're full!! and ordered it anyway...

Put the pork on top of rice and you'll absolutely never regret ordering that rice!!! It's the ultimate rice thief 👍

Charcoal-grilled pork served over rice

Acorn jelly soup, thick rolled egg and a cat-shaped cabbage salad

The acorn jelly paired really well with the pork — the cool jelly cleared my palate perfectly!! The chewy jelly and cool broth were an amazing match ✨

The egg roll looked so appetizing just from its appearance~~~ and it wasn't just looks, the egg was fluffy and so soft, and eating it after the pork felt like eating a home-cooked meal ㅜㅜ

The egg roll wasn't a thin one either, it was a completely thick rolled egg 🐣

They drew the cabbage salad in the shape of a cat — the detail?? So cute!!!

Korean beef brisket seaweed soup, packed with brisket

Finally, the Korean beef brisket seaweed soup — having that warm broth really made it feel like a proper Korean set meal!! There was a ton of brisket in it, and the meat was just pure tenderness,,,

A spoonful of rice with a spoonful of seaweed soup felt so satisfying haha

It also went perfectly as a drinking snack!!!

Halfway through, pour in the garlic and chili

When about half was left, they told us to be sure to pour in the garlic and chili,

Remaining food before adding garlic and chili

so we poured it in — you really should pour it in ㅜㅜ it maximizes the savory flavor 🤤

Is Samsigi-ne Jungang Gojan good for a group dinner in Gojan-dong, Ansan?

Overall, the Samsigi-ne set was a much better fit than ordering just one dish if you want to enjoy several dishes together!! I especially like eating not just the main dish but the soup and side dishes together, and if that's your style too, I highly recommend Samsigi-ne 👍👍👍

If you're in Gojan-dong, Ansan and want a hearty meal while sharing a variety of dishes with several people, this place is a great choice haha. The Samsigi-ne set meal — with the charcoal-grilled pork, acorn jelly, Korean beef brisket seaweed soup, and egg roll — made for a filling, satisfying meal overall 🖤 If you're looking for a good Korean restaurant in Gojan-dong, Ansan, go to Samsigi-ne, you definitely won't regret it 😊
