Makeup-removing cleansing balm test: HEEDA Jirisan Charcoal

How did I test its makeup-removing power?

When I was concerned about pores and sebum, I tried HEEDA Jirisan Moist Charcoal Cleansing Balm. It was my first cleansing balm, so before using it on my face, I tested it by applying concealer, tint, and gel eyeliner to my arm.

The product was a black solid balm. When I lightly rubbed it with my hands, it melted softly against my body heat and felt smooth, like a butter stick.

Did it remove tint and eyeliner well?

I applied the cleansing balm over the makeup and rubbed gently, and the products came off. A slight tint stain remained, so I massaged it once more, then checked that it had been removed.

Even when I lightly wiped it with a tissue before rinsing with water, the makeup came off. The routine felt similar to using cleansing oil: massage it onto dry skin, add water to emulsify it, then rinse with lukewarm water.

How did it feel after washing, and how was storage?

Unlike the arm test, I did not feel a sticky residue after washing my face. After cleansing, my skin felt moisturized, as though it had gained extra hydration.

The spatula can be stored clipped into the lid, so there was less worry about losing it separately. I wanted to keep using it to see more changes in my pores and sebum.
