Ribs, quesadilla and lemonade at Cheongna taco restaurant Taco Dot

Did you know there's a hip spot like this in Cheongna? These days my one joy is eating dinner, but eating the same thing all the time gets old ㅠㅠ So I wanted something a bit unique and delicious with my boyfriend, and we visited "Taco Dot Cheongna Branch." Here's my taco spot review~~~~

Taco Dot Cheongna Branch has no closed days. Great to visit for lunch, and also great for dinner with a beer on the side — a solid Cheongna restaurant!!!!

What is the atmosphere like at Taco Dot, and why does it suit a date?

The Taco Dot Cheongna Branch space is hip, clean and just great!!! Beyond the tacos themselves, it was such a good place for a date... After always eating the same intense flavors, having tacos felt refreshingly different and good!!.. The vibe itself is so good it'd also be a great spot to meet up with a friend you haven't seen in a while!!!!!!

What we ordered at Taco Dot and what it cost

At Taco Dot Cheongna Branch we ordered the 400g barbecue ribs for 23,900 won and the quesadilla for 20,000 won. The price is fair too@!! And worth it because it's that good. They also thoughtfully have a kids' chair, so family dinners are easy here too.

While we were chatting, the food came out in no time. Even eating it as two people, it was never lacking and we were completely full. Honestly the visuals were insane ㅠㅠㅠ It's lunchtime right now as I write this and I really want to go eat this for lunch.

How do the 400g barbecue ribs, sous vide for 12 hours, taste?

First, the barbecue ribs — the meat is tender and the seasoning is well soaked in, so it's barbecue ribs anyone of any age would like! There are fries underneath too, and the fries are genuinely delicious!!!!

Apparently they sous vide it for over 12 hours before brushing on sauce and grilling it!! No wonder it tastes this good. There's plenty of meat, the meat is tender, and my hand kept reaching for more — I snuck two extra bites behind my boyfriend's back haha ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅎㅎㅎ The meat is really thick and the sauce is soaked in well, so this one is an instant pass

The fries are also super crispy and really delicious ㅋㅋ Have this with a beer and you can talk for hours that night... A great Cheongna restaurant to come to for a light beer too

Taco Dot quesadilla, 20,000 won: cheese and chicken balance

Here's the quesadilla you'd find at a Cheongna restaurant — a Mexican dish made by putting meat and cheese inside a tortilla and grilling it on a griddle! 🇲🇽 Feels like eating Mexican food abroad!!! And isn't it hard to find good foreign food in Korea??? This Cheongna restaurant is genuinely delicious!!!

Loaded with cheese, packed with chicken, and there's vegetables too, so it really feels balanced ㅋㅋㅋㅋ No wonder it fills you up. It was so good my boyfriend and I just kept saying "this is delicious" the moment it arrived and were too busy eating ㅋㅋ There are so many restaurants in Cheongna, but this is a genuinely unique Cheongna restaurant that anyone would be willing to try!!!!

Lemonade at Taco Dot: the lemon and sparkling water ratio

The lemonade at Taco Dot Cheongna Branch was also really deliciously balanced.. After finishing the meal, one sip and — pure satisfaction--!! The lemon-to-soda-water ratio was exactly right, so it's a solid solid. Surprisingly, if the ratio is off it ends up too sweet or too flat, but at this Cheongna taco spot the ratio is perfect.

Is Taco Dot Cheongna Branch worth a second visit?

Great vibe, great for a proper chat — this Cheongna taco spot. Don't just go for BBQ or tteokbokki, come get tacos too!!! It was so delicious haha. There was something I wanted to try that was sold out ㅠㅠ so I'm planning to come back once more for another date~~ My boyfriend enjoyed it so much he's already saying let's come again haha. He also liked the vibe and said it felt like a proper date spot~~~ Highly recommend this Cheongna taco spot. Whenever you're on a date, meeting a friend after a while, wanting to try something new, or just not sure where to go — come enjoy the taco flavors at this Cheongna restaurant!!!!
