Family BBQ buffet in Seohae, Incheon: Jangsodam’s B Set

Now that the weather has gotten cooler, I found myself wanting delicious food and something hearty and restorative, too. So this time, I looked for a place in Cheongna where I could enjoy eel and beef together, and visited Jangsodam Eel and Beef Buffet Cheongna Main Branch.

I usually like eel and have visited quite a few eel restaurants, but this place lets you enjoy not only eel but also beef, pork, marinated crab, and a range of side dishes all in one spot. I thought it would be great to visit with a group.

In particular, if you are looking for an all-you-can-eat eel buffet in Cheongna, Incheon, this is a place worth keeping an eye on.

Location and atmosphere at Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch

If it is your first visit to Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch, simply follow the signboard and arrows at the entrance.

We called ahead to ask about a reservation before visiting, and contacting them in advance made getting seated easy.

The restaurant is at Units 206, 207, and 208, 10-17 Jungbong-daero 612beon-gil, Seohae-gu, Incheon. It is open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM, and you can park free in the building for up to two hours. Once inside, the space was larger than I expected, with tables comfortably spread out.

Each table has its own brazier, so you grill the eel and meat yourself. Meat really does taste best straight off the grill!

There was another reason it seemed good for families: a separate area for children to play had been set up on one side of the restaurant.

From Nintendo Super Mario Kart to a jungle gym, it looked like a nice place for kids to play between bites. You can also see children’s chairs next to the photo~ Parents with little ones should be able to dine comfortably, too.

When eating out with kids, it is not just the food that matters—you also need somewhere for them to stay occupied. With that covered, the atmosphere felt well suited to family meals or gatherings with a larger group.

Our group ordered the B Set, which lets you enjoy a variety of items together.

A whopping ₩34,000 per person!! Rather than eating eel alone, the meal flows from meat to rice dishes and dessert, so it seemed especially convenient when visiting with companions who like lots of different foods.

That was exactly the appeal I was looking for in an all-you-can-eat eel buffet in Cheongna, Incheon. Instead of having just one item, you can enjoy everything from eel and meat to a meal and dessert!

Thick freshwater eel and chuck ribs

First, we put the restorative freshwater eel on the grill.

The cleaned domestic freshwater eel arrived partially grilled, so all we had to do was finish grilling it on the tabletop brazier. It was nice and thick, looking appetizing even before a bite.

When I tasted the golden-brown grilled eel, I could really feel its distinctive nutty flavor and chewy texture. The delicious smell rose as it cooked and properly got my appetite going. It was even better eaten right away while warm.

We grilled the chuck ribs alongside the eel, too. They had a satisfying thickness and chew, and the seasoning made them a great match with rice.

The eel was mild and nutty, while the chuck ribs delivered savory seasoned flavor, so it was fun alternating between the two.

Enjoying marinated crab and pork, too

After having plenty of eel and meat, we were already far too full to order the marinated crab. Sadly, we skipped it this time.

But the table right next to us had ordered the marinated crab and were enjoying it so much. 🦀

Seeing them eat it so happily made us a little regretful, and I would like to order the marinated crab as well on a future visit.

Finishing with Hangang ramen and soft-serve ice cream

One of the fun menu items at Jangsodam was Hangang ramen—instant ramen prepared in an automatic machine.

After eating plenty of eel and meat, we cooked some ramen, and ramen after grilled meat really is something special. We were fairly full already, but the smell of ramen had our chopsticks reaching in again like magic... haha.

There was also a dessert corner on one side of the restaurant, besides the Hangang ramen.

You could have soft-serve ice cream, cookies, coffee, and drinks, making it nice for refreshing your palate after the meal.

I made sure to have soft-serve ice cream at the end. Finishing with cool, sweet ice cream after warm eel and meat was just perfect.

A good spot for family meals or gatherings

Looking around overall, I felt that Jangsodam Cheongna Main Branch was a good fit for family visits, get-togethers with friends, or meals with several people.

Above all, it was convenient to enjoy a variety of dishes in one place without needing to go elsewhere separately for eel and beef.

The play space for children made it good for a family visit, and I also liked that each table had a brazier so everything could be grilled and eaten warm.

Especially if you are looking for an all-you-can-eat eel buffet in Cheongna, Incheon, keep in mind that you can enjoy not only eel but also beef, pork, marinated crab, Hangang ramen, and dessert.

If you visit with a group like we did, trying a set such as the B Set with its wide variety of items could be a good option.

I came because I wanted a hearty meal in the cool weather, and it turned into a day of enjoying eel, meat, and a little bit of everything.
