Seooreung Chinese restaurant dinner with parents: unlimited rice bar
In short
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is a Chinese restaurant on Seooreung-ro in Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi, with its own large parking lot. On a weekday evening, the writer came without the kids and ate with both parents, ordering jjamppongbap (spicy seafood soup with rice), crab fried rice and a small Sichuan tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) at hell level 1, then using the self-bar for unlimited rice and drinks. Dad chose jjamppongbap and Mom chose crab fried rice, and that spread of options makes Jjamppong Jijeon an easy family dinner spot near Seooreung.

Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, a solid dinner spot in Seooreung with my parents.

Today I'm sharing a review of Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, a favorite in Seooreung where I had a cozy dinner with my parents on a weekday evening in August 2026.
When you're raising a kid, even meeting up with your parents usually means the kid tags along. But it happened to be school vacation and my child was staying at my in-laws' place, so I got to have dinner with just my parents for once. Trying to figure out where to go, I thought of Jjamppong Jijeon since I already go there often with my kid, and parking is easy — so off we went.

Is parking easy at Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch?

Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch has a large dedicated parking lot right in front, so it's easy to visit by car. Most people drive out to the Seooreung area, so a restaurant with plenty of parking is always a relief. :) It was nice not having to circle around looking for parking when bringing my parents along.
Inside Jjamppong Jijeon: atmosphere and seating

Let's go in.

Even though we came in early evening, there were already families eating. The interior is spacious with generous spacing between tables, so we could eat comfortably.
Baby chairs are also on hand, which makes it good for visiting with kids too. We usually come here with our child, so sitting there with just my parents felt a little strange but also relaxing after a while, haha. I guess you need moments like this once in a while when you're raising a kid ^^
The table setting: jjachai and individually wrapped danmuji (pickled radish)

True to a Chinese restaurant, the table came with soy sauce, vinegar, salt, and chili powder, plus jjachai (Chinese pickled mustard tuber) and danmuji (pickled radish). I love jjachai, so any Chinese place that serves it already wins me over, haha. I also liked that the danmuji came individually wrapped, which kept things tidy.
Unlimited rice and drinks at the self-bar
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch also has a well-stocked self-bar.

You can grab extra side dishes if you run out, and there's kids' tableware set aside for when you visit with children.

And here's what I really liked — unlimited rice! You know how you finish your jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup) noodles but still want to mix in a scoop of rice into the broth? haha. Being able to grab as much as you need was great.

On the other side there's a whole drink corner to enjoy after the meal.
I grabbed a blue lemon-ade first, before the food even arrived ^^
How spicy is the Sichuan tangsuyuk at hell level 1?
Here's what we ordered that day.
- Jjamppongbap (spicy seafood noodle soup rice)
- Crab fried rice
- Small Sichuan tangsuyuk
First out was the Sichuan tangsuyuk!

We picked hell level 1, said to be about 1.5 times spicier than Shin Ramyun. My whole family loves spicy food, so it landed at just the right level of delicious for us.

Crispy tangsuyuk with a spicy-tangy sauce kept me reaching for more. It has a completely different charm from regular tangsuyuk, so if you like spicy food, this is worth trying.
A free plate of jjamppong mandu (spicy soup dumplings)

While waiting for our food, they also brought out jjamppong-mandu (spicy dumplings) as a free side.

Crispy fried mandu with a spicy kick woke up our appetite before the main meal even started, haha. My parents said they were delicious too, and they disappeared fast.
Dad's pick: jjamppongbap
Next up was jjamppongbap.

I was craving rice more than noodles that day, so I chose jjamppongbap. It wasn't just broth with rice — it was loaded with glass noodles and clam meat, really generous.

A hot, spicy broth with rice mixed right in — one bite in! Rice really does go so well with jjamppong broth, haha. The three of us shared bites of everything, and my dad said jjamppongbap was the best dish he had that day. Guess it hit the spot for someone who loves a spicy broth ^^
Mom's pick: crab fried rice
Next was the crab fried rice.

The rice grains came out nicely fluffy and separate, and it was served with a side of jjajang sauce.
One bite as plain fried rice, then another mixed with the jjajang sauce! This time my mom said it was the tastiest dish, haha. At the same table, Dad went for jjamppongbap and Mom for crab fried rice — their tastes split right down the middle.

The jjamppong broth that came alongside the crab fried rice was surprisingly hearty for a complimentary side, packed with ingredients. Eating fried rice and then a spoonful of that spicy broth turned out to be a great combo.
Verdict: a Seooreung Chinese restaurant worth taking your parents to
Eating with just my parents, without the kid, for once made for a slightly different kind of evening. When you're raising a child, even seeing your parents usually turns into a whirlwind of feeding and looking after the kid — but this time we could take our time, share the food, chat about this and that, and eat at a relaxed pace. It was a small healing moment for me too ^^
Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch, a favorite in Seooreung, lets everyone pick their own dish from jjamppongbap to crab fried rice to Sichuan tangsuyuk, and the portions are generous — a good spot to visit with parents. With its large dedicated parking lot it's easy to come by car, and the spacious interior makes it comfortable for a family meal out.
If you're with a kid, you can pick non-spicy dishes for them while the adults enjoy the spicy jjamppong — there's something for everyone at the table. If you're looking for a Seooreung restaurant with easy parking that's good to visit with parents, or a Chinese restaurant that's comfortable to bring kids to, Jjamppong Jijeon Seooreung Branch is worth considering :)
