Ansan lamb chop restaurant: That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge

In short

That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge is an Italian restaurant on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Jungang-dong, Ansan. I returned after a previous anniversary-course meal and ordered shrimp rosé risotto, aglio e olio, and medium-rare lamb chops; the quiet window seat and juicy lamb were the highlights.

I returned to That Man's Italian Restaurant & Lounge (그남자의이태리식당&라운지), where I had previously enjoyed a course meal with my boyfriend for an anniversary. I remembered both the food and the atmosphere from my first visit, so this time I ordered à la carte dishes centered on the lamb chop steak I had wanted to try.

Where is the Ansan restaurant, and how does parking work?

The restaurant is on the sixth floor of Dongwon Building in Jungang-dong, Ansan. The area around the building felt a little crowded and busy. I took the elevator just inside the building up to the restaurant.

There is no dedicated parking. According to the original post, the parking lot opposite Dongwon Building can be used free for one hour, and using Daedong Joyworld parking qualifies for a ₩2,000 discount at the restaurant.

According to the original post, hours are 12:00–22:00 from Tuesday through Sunday. The break is 15:00–17:00, last orders are at 21:00, and the restaurant is regularly closed on Mondays. Naver reservations are also listed as available.

Is it comfortable for an anniversary meal and conversation?

Restaurant space entered after leaving the elevator

The dining room was neat and quiet. The tables were spaced far enough apart that I was not especially aware of the surrounding tables, and the soft lighting and calm music made it comfortable to talk over the meal. There was also a private room.

This time, I sat right beside the floor-to-ceiling windows. I could look outside while eating, and there was a terrace space right next to us. Since I like window seats, I especially liked this spot.

How much are the course and à la carte dishes?

This time, I ordered shrimp rosé risotto for ₩19,900, aglio e olio spaghetti for ₩15,900, and lamb chop steak for ₩43,900. The prices below are based on the menu in the original post.

The signature main course was listed at ₩65,000. It includes bread, cold and hot appetizers, today's cream soup, today's pasta or risotto, sorbet, steak, today's dessert, and coffee or tea. For the steak, diners can choose Wagyu or lamb chops.

There were salads and appetizers as well. Ricotta cheese salad was ₩17,900, burrata cheese salad ₩20,900, and today's cream soup ₩6,900; gratin and eggplant involtini were also available.

Besides aglio e olio, the pasta menu included carbonara for ₩17,900, truffle cream paccheri for ₩20,900, and burrata cheese tomato spaghetti for ₩21,900. Risotto options included shrimp rosé and squid ink, while the Wagyu steak was the same ₩43,900 as the lamb chops.

Can you order wine and drinks with the meal?

Red and white wine by the glass were each listed at ₩6,900, and wine corkage at ₩20,000.

Earl Grey, pink peach, and blue lemon highballs were each ₩8,900, and there were also beer and soft drinks.

There was also a separate wine list. I did not drink wine this time, but I thought it would be useful on a day when I wanted to choose wine with the food.

What were the shrimp rosé risotto and aglio e olio like?

After I ordered, the bread arrived first. It was served warm, making it nice for a light bite before the meal properly began.

The first dish was the shrimp rosé risotto. The shrimp on top looked plump, and when I tried it, I liked its springy texture.

The rice was cooked to the al dente texture I like, so the grains still had a pleasant bite. The soft rosé sauce had a subtle tomato flavor that went well with the shrimp.

The aglio e olio had noticeable pieces of garlic and a fairly pronounced cheese flavor. It was slightly spicy, so it felt less rich than I expected, yet not burdensome even for someone who does not handle spicy food well.

How were the lamb chops' aroma, doneness, and sauces?

The lamb chops, the reason for this visit, were a 220 g French rack requested medium rare. I was a little concerned that the characteristic smell might be strong, but I barely noticed any unpleasant odor. The lamb's meaty aroma remained, which I liked.

The outside was browned while the inside was moist; it chewed tenderly, and I could taste the juices. It was also enjoyable to switch among the accompanying sauces and seasonings.

Balsamic, salt and pepper, mint jelly, and whole-grain mustard were provided. I liked the combination with the popping texture of whole-grain mustard best. Of the three dishes I had this time, the lamb chops stayed with me most.

What was the dessert event during the visit?

During my visit, there was a notice that one egg tart and ice cream would be given per table for one Naver receipt photo review. This was the event introduced in the original post dated Sep 7, 2026.

Following the course meal on my first visit, I was also satisfied with this à la carte meal. The area around the building was busy, but inside I could eat quietly and talk comfortably. For me, it was a place I would want to revisit for an anniversary meal, with the window seat and lamb chops standing out most.
