The weather has been perfect for walking lately, so I finally took a stroll through Seoul Forest, and I found a café I absolutely love! As a self-proclaimed café lover, it's been a while since I found one that suits me this well, so I rushed to bring it to you. There are so many pretty cafés tucked into every corner near Seoul Forest, right? But Iridescent near Ttukseom Station is a really special space. With its shimmering, cozy mood, you'll become a regular after just one visit. Let's start my Iridescent review!

Iridescent near Ttukseom Station: location, hours and parking

Iridescent is at 20-1 Seoulsup 4-gil, Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on the first floor, and it's open every day from 10am to 10pm. For parking, use the public parking lot nearby.

What unusual items are on the Iridescent menu?

The Iridescent menu has lots of unusual drinks that pair familiar ingredients like perilla leaves, herbs and sesame oil with coffee and beverages. Take a look at the menu first: so many odd items, right? There are plenty you can't try at other cafés, so just reading the menu is fun!

Iridescent's signature is the "citrus perilla leaf smoothie." One look at the menu photo and I understood why it's so hot on TV and social media. Beyond that, there are many distinctive signature items that blend familiar ingredients like perilla leaves, herbs and sesame oil perfectly with coffee and drinks. This time I ordered the "Mujinjang Carrot Ade," a collab with Musinsa.

The dessert lineup is broad too, with a s'mores brookie, pound cake, croissants, Basque cheesecake and black pepper tiramisu, so it's great to enjoy with a drink!

What's the atmosphere like? A lamp lit at every seat

When you sit down at Iridescent, they place a cozy lamp on your table and switch it on. The name "Iridescent" means shimmering, with colors that change depending on the angle you view it from. True to the name, from the moment you walk in there are warm, stylish lights and props. Thanks to the lamp they light when you sit down, it feels snug, and somehow chatting feels more focused and working feels more immersive too!

The tables are also fairly well spaced, so it's lovely for a quiet chat with a friend, and the windows open up, so even coming alone and just gazing outside is relaxing and perfect for sorting out your thoughts. I just love this comfy vibe...

How does the Musinsa collab Mujinjang Carrot Ade taste?

Mujinjang Carrot Ade is Iridescent's collab drink with Musinsa, an ade made from carrots juiced in the shop plus carbonation. Since it's a collab with the famous brand Musinsa, my expectations were high, and the fresh, sweet flavor of the freshly juiced carrot mixed with zingy fizz and brightness was really unusual yet clean!

Even people who usually don't like carrots can enjoy it without a problem, it's a refreshing, sweet ade with a surprising twist!

Ground carrot may settle at the bottom of the Mujinjang Carrot Ade, so stir it well before drinking!

Iridescent Seongsu dog-friendly rules

Iridescent in Seongsu is a dog-friendly café where you can visit with your beloved pet! To spend a comfortable and safe time with your dog, there are a few rules you need to follow!

• Get seating directions first
• Always use a leash or carrier
• Use the trash can by the outside parking lot for pet-related waste
• If dogs bark, calm them down for a moment
• Ask if you need water

Honestly, I'd felt like cafés these days are all much the same, but Iridescent really spoke to me, from the effort of juicing and making things in the shop to the unusual signature menu, you can feel the care :) Under the cozy lamps, chatting comfortably or gazing out the window to sort your thoughts, it was a perfect neighborhood hangout.
