Where is Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch?
Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch is a gukbap spot in Uijeongbu at 778 Dongil-ro, 1F, on the Chakhan Nakji line. It's in Nokyang-dong near Eulji University, open daily from 10am to 10pm.
I went to this restaurant near Eulji University in Uijeongbu, tucked into Nokyang-dong. The interior was really clean and the food was clean-tasting too — so good. Let me start the review of the sundaeguk (blood sausage soup) and ppyeohaejangguk (bone soup) I had.
Parking out front was wide and easy, and the interior was really clean too — loved that.
Opening event: free sticky sundae and a 16,000-won takeout pack
Right now, as part of the opening event, they were giving a free sticky sundae, and the 2-serving takeout — really more like 3 servings — was discounted from ₩18,000 to ₩16,000. This place already had good word of mouth, so I went in with high expectations.
Is Yetnal Gyeongseong good for family and group meals?
The interior of Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch was much bigger and cleaner than I expected — it looked great for family gatherings and group meals.
They even had baby chairs, so families with little ones can eat comfortably here.
A place that even has coffee and snacks fully prepared after the meal...!
The self-serve bar and how clean the restaurant is
What I liked most of all was the restaurant's hygiene. Every table and chair was spotless, and there was a self-bar too — really well organized and clean.
The initial banchan (side dishes) are brought to you, and you just grab anything extra from the self-bar. You can see the clear lids on the self-bar containers — you can really feel how well-managed this gukbap restaurant in Uijeongbu is, Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch.
Every table had chili oil, salted shrimp with perilla seeds, salt, and sesame seeds — I wondered why the sesame was there, but I'll explain below!!!!!!
The basic banchan were diced radish kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, cucumber peppers, and onion. They told us the sticky sundae was a free item from the opening event. Cheongyang chili peppers are at the self-bar, so if you want some, just help yourself :D
Ordering the bone soup and the spicy sundaeguk set in XL
We ordered the bone soup and spicy sundaeguk sets. There's a plain sundaeguk single-dish option too, but ordering the set gets you sliced boiled meat and sundae as well for just a few thousand won more — highly recommend the set!
My husband said he was hungry so we ordered the XL, and it came with a ton of sundae and meat inside. The spice level was just right too — he said it made him want a drink!
How big is the meat in the bone soup?
The bone soup's size was on another level. The meat was genuinely huge and super soft — such a tender texture.
If you like a savory bone soup, you'll really enjoy this. It was the tastiest, most tender bone soup I've had in Uijeongbu!!
The sundaeguk was also loaded with meat inside — really delicious and filling. See the size of that bone soup meat? Whoa.
Pickled garlic from the self-serve bar and the sliced boiled pork
I went to the self-bar and there was garlic pickle too, so I grabbed some — such a great combo with rice! The sliced boiled meat had zero gamey smell and was really tasty. I'd recommend this for lunch too — great for solo dining, solo drinking, group gatherings, or company dinners, Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Nokyang Branch.

The bone soup was really delicious, and the spicy sundaeguk was genuinely spicy and tasty too. Next time I might leave the car at home and eat it as a drinking snack!
Sundaeguk with freshly ground sesame stirred in
Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk's own twist — grinding the sesame seeds I mentioned above and adding them to the sundaeguk boosts the nuttiness and deepens the flavor, so I tried it both plain and with the ground sesame added!
The spicy sundaeguk turned even more savory with the sesame. Besides the spicy sundaeguk and bone soup, they also have pork gukbap and other varied menu items, so if you're looking for a great sundaeguk spot in Uijeongbu, go check it out! Highly recommend this restaurant :D
