There are so many good restaurants around Suwon Station, but this one, Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suwon Station branch (옛날경성순대국), is great value and gives you a hearty bowl!!! haha I wrote this review honestly and in detail.

What's the atmosphere like at Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk?

Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk near Suwon Station is a place for all kinds of gukbap (rice soup) and sundaeguk. This was my 3rd visit!! hahaha

The restaurant is spacious and clean. It was comfortable and cool, perfect for a steaming bowl of gukbap in this weather ><
Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk menu and order options

The menu is varied: sundaeguk, spicy sundaeguk, pork gukbap, bone hangover stew (ppyeo haejangguk), pork head meat and more. I liked that you can choose to your taste: sundae only, meat only, no innards and so on. You really can eat exactly how you want haha. We ordered bone hangover stew + sundaeguk + spicy sundaeguk!
What's at the self-serve bar?

At the self-serve bar you can easily grab kkakdugi (cubed radish kimchi), kimchi, chili peppers and onions. Sundaeguk's lifelong partners, kkakdugi and kimchi, got! Both are tasty. Both are cool and crisp, the kkakdugi is sweet and sour, and the kimchi has great depth too, so goooood T_T haha

How much do three bowls of gukbap near Suwon Station cost?
Even with three bowls (bone stew, sundaeguk and spicy sundaeguk), it came to just over ₩30,000. Ta-da, don't they look delicious? With prices this high lately, gukbap is the best, lol. I'm turning into a gukbap addict in my late twenties,, lolol These days I crave Korean food way more than fancy Western restaurants lol

How does the spicy sundaeguk taste?
The spicy sundaeguk here has a pretty fiery, deep broth, so it's perfect as a hangover cure lol The broth is so good T_T totally my taste, and it keeps going down. It's the signature dish of this Suwon Station spot.
The biggest strength of Gyeongseong Sundaeguk near Suwon Station is that it's packed with really substantial meat. Totally generous!! The meat is tender with no gamey smell, and there's so much of it, love it haha

Sundae even people who don't like sundae will eat
The sundae (Korean blood sausage) here is stuffed with glass noodles hahaha I only like the broth of sundaeguk and rarely eat the sundae itself, but at Gyeongseong Sundaeguk near Suwon Station it was delicious lol

It goes perfectly with kimchi>< It's also great as a drinking snack. Next time I want to try the sundae platter haha

What about the regular sundaeguk's broth and fillings?
The regular sundaeguk is really good too. The creamy white broth lives up to 100% of what you'd expect: deep and rich sundaeguk!!!! As a sundaeguk lover I've eaten a lot, and I fully vouch for Gyeongseong Sundaeguk near Suwon Station!
Likewise it's packed with meat, intestines and more>< so good~~~ Even a casual scoop brings up meat lolololol The generosity is the best.

Is the bone hangover stew at a sundaeguk place any good?
The special treat at Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suwon Station branch is the bone hangover stew! I ordered it once without high expectations since it's a sundaeguk place, and I remembered enjoying it, so I ordered it again this time haha I'm so so happy you can have sundaeguk and bone stew together hehe

The bone stew has hearty meat and big bones. The broth is spicy with great depth, as good as most gamjatang (pork bone stew) places!!!! If you like bone stew, give it a try. They also add lots of perilla leaves, so good haha

The meat is tender too T_T Isn't this sundaeguk spot near Suwon Station basically a meat restaurant? lol Big portions, better than expected haha I enjoyed everything!! haha
Overall verdict
Everything at Yetnal Gyeongseong Sundaeguk Suwon Station branch was tasty, and I was happy with both the broth and the fillings. I'm definitely going again~~
