This visit to Stack Bakery took in the terrace and the spacious second floor, then filled a shopping bag from a lineup of more than 20 pastries and croissants, including the Johnsonville sausage pastry. A bakery café with a terrace near Ttukseom Hangang Park
Stack Bakery is close to Ttukseom Hangang Park, so it's a great spot to relax in the café and then carry on to a walk along the Han River. What caught my eye as soon as I arrived was the big, stylish exterior and the roomy terrace.

On a nice day, the terrace is the perfect place for coffee and bread, and it felt like a little breather in the middle of the city.

There were even foreign visitors checking the menu outside and ordering right away :)

Let's head into Stack Bakery, a Konkuk Univ. bakery café worth the hype.

What breads does Stack Bakery sell?
The display at Stack Bakery had more than 20 kinds of bread, including salt bread, cheese pastries, croissants, kouign-amann (퀴니아망, buttery caramelized pastry) and flan. The selection was what I was most looking forward to, and I was amazed the moment I saw all the breads lined up from the entrance.
From savory baked goods to sweet desserts, there was such a variety that I struggled to decide what to pick.

- Red bean butter salt bread (앙버터소금빵)
- Maldon salt bread
- Egg and cheese pastry
- Olive cheese pastry
- Tomato cheese pastry
- Nutella peanut pie

- Johnsonville sausage pastry
- Kaya croissant
- Croogie (cookie croissant)
- Almond pain suisse

There are new items too: the choco flan and the egg flan.

- Pastry loaf bread
- Plain croissant

Huff, huff... it's not over yet. Stack Bakery really has so many breads. Time for a bread pilgrimage, haha.
- Pain au jambon-fromage (ham and cheese) / pain au chocolat
- Hazelnut kouign-amann / plain kouign-amann
- Croonji croissant

If you love bread, the moment you see this display you can't help but be happy! Stack Bakery is a Konkuk Univ. bakery favorite :) The look and the variety were so good that picking just one felt like a shame and I wanted to take several.

By the counter I also noticed a vase of flowers that looked like it had just been delivered. The bright flowers looked fresh just to look at, and suited the bright, warm mood of Stack Bakery.

Stack Bakery's 2nd floor, where Super Junior held its 19th anniversary live
On the stairs up to the 2nd floor I spotted a familiar scene, and it turned out this café was where Super Junior's 19th anniversary live broadcast on YouTube took place. I was already heading up the stairs because I was curious about the 2nd floor.
I didn't know it was a famous spot, but once I got there I thought, "No wonder the vibe is so good!"

With the stylish interior, spacious feel and comfortable atmosphere, it's no wonder so many people visit. It was a moment that made me feel a good space really does have its reasons.

A relaxed terrace and a stylish 2nd floor at Stack Bakery
The 2nd floor of Stack Bakery has many large windows and high ceilings, making it a good place to stay a long time with friends or on a date. The exterior already looked clean and sophisticated, so I was even more excited about the 2nd floor!

With so many wide windows it doesn't feel stuffy at all, so it's lovely to visit with friends and suits a date course too.

The high ceiling and sense of space made it feel even more pleasant. With everything from window seats to comfy seating, it's a café where you can stay long and chat.

The Johnsonville sausage pastry I grabbed without a second thought
Separate from the breads I'd picked earlier, the item I added at Stack Bakery was the Johnsonville sausage pastry. While choosing, I got curious what this place does well, so I started adding one of each.
When I saw it had Johnsonville sausage inside, I added one right away without hesitating. The sausage looked so plump and appetizing that I couldn't help looking forward to the taste.

Coffee, bread and atmosphere: why Stack Bakery is worth a return visit
I kept adding things at Stack Bakery until my shopping bag was full of bread. A cup of coffee with tasty bread is always the best combo, right?
For anyone who loves bread, this lineup would be hard to walk past at Stack Bakery.

What I liked about Stack Bakery is that it's more than a place to eat bread: it's a bakery café where you can also enjoy the big space and good atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet café near Konkuk Univ., or a bakery café to stop by before or after Ttukseom Hangang Park, I'd recommend it.
With lots of breads and a roomy space, it was a very satisfying café that I'd want to revisit.
