A newly opened Goobne Chicken hotspot in Hongdae✨️ You can tell it's different from a typical Goobne even from the exterior. Here's my visit review of Goobne Chicken Hongdae Red Road, let's go😉

Happy hour: 3,900-won cocktails and 4,900-won draft beer

I spotted the event info on a signboard in front of the store. All cocktails — rum coke, vodka cranberry, gin tonic and more — are just ₩3,900, and cold draft beer is only ₩4,900! Fitting for Hongdae Ipgu, which draws so many foreign tourists, there was also an English menu ready to go.

Terrace tables and the first-floor window seats

Goobne Chicken Hongdae Red Road has an outdoor terrace, so you can enjoy it as a night market-style setup. I visited in the daytime with the sun blazing, but I imagine the atmosphere would be amazing at night🌃🍺

On the first floor you could look outside through these floor-to-ceiling windows, and the inside seating was set up with tall tables for enjoying chicken and beer. It didn't feel like a typical chicken place — kind of had a foreign vibe?

The stairs up to the second floor. The lighting was soft and there was a full-length mirror, making it a perfect photo spot. Tourists visiting Korea are going to make Goobne Chicken Hongdae Red Road a must-see stop.

What is the second floor like? Projector screen and big tables

I went up the stairs to the second floor. Unlike the first floor, a huge open seating area greets you. Wow, it was really spacious🫢

There was seating on both sides of a self-service bar in the middle,

The right side was even more spacious. And there was a projector installed, so the screen was full of upbeat K-pop music videos. One more thing for foreign visitors to go crazy over — chicken, beer and K-pop, who can resist that😉 Ah, if they played soccer matches on this screen during matches, you could watch while enjoying chicken and beer, that would be so good.

There was also a door on the second floor leading straight outside. You could go down the outdoor stairs to the first floor. Seems handy for a smoke break mid-chicken.

The restrooms were very neatly set up next to the first-floor staircase.

The pizza sticker vote and happy hour poster

Put a sticker on the tastiest pizza! Vote for your pizza hahahahaha the stickers were so cute😍

I also found a cocktail happy hour poster inside the store. A chance to enjoy all cocktails for ₩3,900 (only before 10 PM). I want to go before 10 and drink 10 glasses haha. But this poster really catches the eye, I think it's well made.

Taking Gochu Basasak and Mozza Cheese Balls home

I also tried the Mozza Cheese Balls. First time trying cheese balls at Goobne Chicken, so I gave it a shot.

They came tumbling out hahahahahahahaha

Woohoo, ready to dig into Gochu Basasak and cheese balls😋 Goobne Chicken doesn't deep-fry in oil, it's oven-roasted chicken, so it's less greasy and lighter, no heaviness — so even though it's fried chicken, you can eat it without guilt😆

Goblin sauce vs Marbling sauce: how do they differ?

When you order Goobne's Gochu Basasak, you get two kinds of sauce — Goobne Goblin sauce and Goobne Marbling sauce. Goblin is spicy and Marbling is nutty, so each has its own charm. Dipping into both alternately, it just keeps going in endlessly.

And instead of draft, I got myself canned beer haha. Got off work early today and had a chicken-and-beer party while watching a movie🥳🎉 I ordered takeout from Goobne Chicken Hongdae Red Road today, but next time I'll have to visit in the evening and feel out that terrace atmosphere🍺🍻🍗
