I booked Levia Hair Bucheon Branch because I wanted to get rid of the heavy feeling in my long hair. It is on the third floor of City Office at 221 Gilju-ro, between Bucheon City Hall Station and Sinjung-dong Station. I liked that the service began with a one-on-one consultation. The salon felt spacious and open with its floor-to-ceiling windows, and the atmosphere was calm and comfortable. I sometimes feel cramped after spending a long time at a hair salon, but I was able to relax here.

There were also massage-function shampoo chairs and a private head-spa area.

My hair was very long before the appointment. It already had some layers, but still felt heavy, and eight months had passed since my last perm, so I had only been getting regular trims. I wanted to tidy it up before leaving for a trip abroad.

During the consultation, I said I was not very skilled at styling and wanted something easy to manage. I also wanted more layers to reduce the bulky feeling. When I asked them to consider my somewhat round face shape, they recommended a layered C-curl perm. After hearing the explanation, I decided to go with that style.

What was the layered C-curl perm process, and how long did it take?

They started with a layered cut, then shampooed my hair and set it in rollers. After 10 minutes of heat treatment and 10 minutes to cool, my hair was neutralized at the shampoo station for about five minutes. The entire service took about two hours and 30 minutes.

During the service, I had a refreshing iced tea by the window. Sitting there made it feel a little like being in a café.

How did the weight and curl of my hair change afterward?

I ended up with many more layers than before and natural C-curls. What I liked most was that my hair felt much lighter while still keeping its length.

Could I manage it despite being unskilled at styling?

At the end, they showed me how to blow-dry my hair step by step. The instructions were easy enough for someone like me, who is not confident at styling, to follow, but I felt I would need continued practice to get used to it.

I usually get S-curls, so the C-curls gave me a different feel. They added a change while keeping the natural look of my long hair.
