Oracle card deck for housewarming conversations: SoulGoddess
In short
SoulGoddess is an oracle card deck from Korea for drawing cards and starting conversations at home. Drawing cards on the same topic with my husband, I loved the pretty package, illustrations, and feel in the hand—and one message made us burst out laughing. Verdict: SoulGoddess is a fun, quick conversation starter to bring out instead of a board game at a housewarming.

Oracle cards to try right at home
I feel like stress in everyday life is just unavoidable. Going to a tarot café for fun can make a nice date, too, but you still have to set aside time to go somewhere.

So it is not always easy to try it right when a question comes up, but I thought the really appealing thing about oracle cards was that, as long as you have a deck, you can draw one at home right away!

And since we moved not too long ago, we have people over from time to time. I made sure to keep a board game around, too, but if you only play one game, you can get a little tired of it, right?!

At times like that, I do not think there is anything better than cards like these for opening up about your worries and talking about the same topic together!! So I tried this deck from SoulGoddess.

Drawing SoulGoddess cards with my husband
The first time I tried it was with my husband. First of all, the package was so pretty that it immediately caught my eye.

You can also take a class called Soul Class. It made me notice once again just how much more you can do online these days?!

One thing that especially stood out was how beautiful the artwork was. My husband and I were talking about the same topic, and one of us said, “Then, shall we draw this one?!” So we picked a card.

Act boldly. Believe in your strength.
That was the message on it, and I suddenly burst out laughing when I read it, haha.

Cards that open up conversation, rather than give an answer
With oracle cards, unlike tarot, there is not a fixed framework, so being able to choose freely gives them an extra sense of freedom.
It felt like such a refreshingly clear answer to something I had been worrying about. The image on the card I drew, Sekhmet, also brought Egypt to mind a little, and her expression looked so firm! That made it feel even more striking.

Not only the card I drew this time, but the other cards also had such lovely illustrations and did not feel dated. They felt a little more approachable when I drew them, too.

Why it is great to bring out at a housewarming
If you are spending time with friends and someone has something on their mind, I thought it would be fun to draw one together and talk about the topics it brings up!

Since you pick up and use cards like these with your hands, I think the grip matters, too—and they felt nice to hold.

A regular board game can take quite a while once you start, but these oracle cards are immediate. They do not take long and are quick to try, which made them even more fun! They will bring a new kind of enjoyment to choosing a conversation topic, too!
