These days, eating out for even one meal in Seoul has gotten really expensive, hasn’t it? I especially assumed pasta and steak would naturally be on the pricier side, but while having a meal with a friend near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest, I found a place that was better value than I expected. It was Pasta Gram Yangjae Main Branch (빠스타그램 양재본점).

What to know before visiting
There is a small parking lot, so it was convenient to visit by car too. It is handy to make a Naver reservation before you go, though walk-ins are also possible. Hours differ from Monday to Friday and on Saturday, and the restaurant is closed Sundays, so keep that in mind! The restroom is outside rather than inside the restaurant.

Reasonably priced pasta near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest
I stopped by while looking for somewhere to eat near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest, and my first thought when I saw the menu was, “These prices are pretty good?” These days, it is common for a plate of pasta alone to cost in the mid-to-high ₩10,000s, but this place had many dishes in the low ₩10,000 range overall. So for anyone looking for pasta in Yangjae without a big price burden, I think it could be quite a good option.

What comes with the pork neck steak?
There was more variety on the menu than I expected, but my friend and I ordered pasta and pork neck steak. The pork neck steak especially stood out to me. It was about ₩11,000, and when the plate arrived, it was not just a lonely piece of pork. It came with an egg, rice, and vegetables alongside the meat, plus potatoes, so it was just right as a full meal on one plate.
Meat and rice alone can feel a little plain, but having egg, vegetables, and potatoes to eat with them made for a good combination. Especially considering the Yangjae Citizen’s Forest location, what I liked most was getting this kind of plate at this price. Rather than expecting the steak from a very upscale dining restaurant, think of it as a filling meal you can have without worrying about the cost, and I think you will be quite satisfied.

I saw that the pork neck chop steak rice bowl was ₩10,000, which also looked like excellent value. I did not get to try it this time, but it is something I would like to order when I come back.

Easy pasta to enjoy with a friend
The pasta was not a flavor overloaded with lots of complicated extras; it was simple and easy to enjoy. It was nice to eat casually while chatting with my friend, and above all, we kept coming back to the price.

There are still places in Seoul where you can get pasta at this price?
I asked my friend what they thought too, and they were satisfied, saying it was good for the price. Honestly, not every restaurant has to be extremely upscale or have some especially extraordinary flavor, right? Sometimes you need a place where you can meet a friend, chat comfortably, order a pasta and a steak, and have a meal at an approachable price. In that sense, I really liked it.

A good fit for this kind of meal
When you search for Western restaurants near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest, many places can feel quietly expensive, so Pasta Gram’s comparatively approachable prices were a definite advantage. There were plenty of menu choices, so it also looked good for a group where everyone can order to their own taste. And if pasta alone feels a little lacking, I would recommend ordering a dish such as the pork neck steak, where you can have rice and meat together.

It would be good for a light meal with a friend like we had, or when you are on a date near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest or deciding what to have for lunch or dinner. If you are looking for somewhere with a good plate for the price and a relaxed meal rather than something flashy and expensive, it is worth visiting at least once. Given today’s prices, simply being able to have pasta and pork neck steak in the low ₩10,000 range in Seoul, and near Yangjae Citizen’s Forest at that, was a pretty big advantage. From pasta that is easy to enjoy with a friend to a hearty pork neck steak, it was a satisfying place above all because the price did not feel too burdensome.
