Bas Burger Jamwon Branch (바스버거 잠원점) is on the first floor at 41 Shingbanpo-ro 47-gil, Seocho-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Hours are 10:30–21:00 Monday through Friday and 11:00–20:30 Saturday and Sunday, and parking is not available. There is no parking or public parking lot nearby, either.

What I Ordered at This Handmade Burger Spot Near Sinsa Station

Today I’m sharing Bas Burger Jamwon Branch, a popular handmade burger spot near Sinsa Station.

I ordered the wasabi mayo shrimp burger set with coleslaw and the Bas Burger set with sweet potato fries.

Are the sweet potato fries worth ordering?

I’d only ever ordered regular fries as a side, so this was my first time seeing sweet potato fries at a burger place, you know? I thought, I absolutely have to order these! More orange than regular fries, they stood out less for a crispy fried texture and more for their sweet, distinctive flavor.

The wasabi mayo shrimp burger had several plump shrimp, onion rings, tomato, onion, and lettuce between toasted buns. The Bas Burger had a beef patty, cheddar cheese, onion, tomato, and lettuce between toasted buns. There were five colorful sauces—ranch, Bas Burger sauce, honey mustard, myeongran mayo (pollock roe mayonnaise), and barbecue sauce—and adding whichever sauce I wanted with each bite made it easy to customize the flavor to everyone’s taste.

Dine-in Seating and Photo Review Benefits

At first, I thought there was no dine-in area, but there was actually a fairly large dining room beside the shop. It looked like it could seat around 20 people. They say you get one piece of mozzarella cheese bar for writing a photo review! Fried mozzarella cheese can’t possibly be bad :) I also spotted “chocolate ice cream” in tiny lettering above, so it looks like you can choose either a mozzarella cheese bar or chocolate ice cream.

Bas Burger Jamwon Branch says it does not reuse leftover food. After trying the food, I could really tell that the ingredients were fresh. At first I assumed it was mostly a takeaway-focused shop, but it was so well prepared for dine-in guests, too.

Potato Chip Self-Service Bar for Dine-in Guests Only

Dine-in guests can use the potato chip self-service bar. Usually, you need to order a burger set to have potato chips, but at Bas Burger, if you’re eating in, it seemed you could order just a burger and a drink and still have potato chips—not fries, but chips. Little pro tip!! For takeaway, the potato chips (James Gam) are ₩2,500 per bag.
