🅿️ Parking available

Today I visited Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch, a Korean BBQ spot in Bangi-dong, Jamsil, haha

Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch can fit about 4 cars, but the parking space is a bit tight, so I'd recommend parking at a nearby public parking lot instead!!

Since the restaurant hasn't been open long, there was an opening congratulations wreath by the entrance, plus a photo banner promoting Yukmong's signature menu :)

There was a 'soft open' sign at the entrance, so it looks like they're still in the early stage of opening!!
Now let's head inside the restaurant ☺️☺️
Inside Yukmong Bangi: basement private room to second-floor window wall

Walking into the building, the dark wood tones, marble, and indirect lighting gave off a luxurious feel.
That same vibe carried through to the seating!! It felt like a fancy Korean dining space, and not overusing lighting made it feel even more upscale, haha

The seating is basically built around 4-tops. One nice touch: there's no smoke hood hanging from the ceiling!! ☺️
Yukmong Bangi Direct Branch runs both the basement and second floor together — let's go up to the second floor first!!

Coming up to the second floor, the group seating perfect for company dinners really caught my eye, hahaha
There's also window seating, which would be great for families too!! With the floor-to-ceiling windows, the openness of the space is really excellent 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
There's also a restroom on the second floor, which was another plus :)
Now let's head down to the basement!!
The basement is made up of private rooms.
If you open the partition door in the middle of the room, it's also great for group dinners here!! haha (Kind of wish I could host a work dinner here... lol)
There's also a restroom in the basement, so the flow of the whole space was really clean 👍🏻

How to order at Yukmong Bangi and what the review event gives you
Now let's head back to our seats and order, haha

Every table came equipped with cutlery, tissues, and wet wipes,

and orders are placed via tablet. As part of the review event, one person joining gets beef-and-pork-belly ramyeon, and two or more get gochujang beef tartare 👍🏻👍🏻 (Feels like a loss not to do this!!!)

<Menu board>
What we ordered at Yukmong Bangi
- Korean pork sampler — 69,900 won
- Gochujang lotus minari beef tartare — 25,000 won
- Mul-milmyeon (cold wheat noodles) — 9,000 won
- Stella draft beer — 7,000 won
The side dishes that come with the meal
First, the basic banchan (side dish) setup!! A lot of side dishes came out to eat alongside the meat,
ssamjang (dipping sauce) / wasabi / spicy sauce / salt, kimchi / salted seafood / seasoned radish
spicy mala cucumber salad / lettuce wraps / baek-kimchi (white kimchi), seaweed / pickled onion / scallion salad
and soy sauce too. I couldn't wait for the meat to come out and eat!! ☺️
Korean pork sampler, 69,900 won: pork belly, pork neck and skirt meat grilled tableside

We were craving pork today, so we ordered the Korean pork sampler!! Made up of pork belly, pork neck, and skirt meat — it looked delicious from the plating alone 👍🏻👍🏻

When the meat comes out, they light the fire and set up the grill plate like this — even the grill plate looked fancy, haha (I asked, and it's custom-made!!)
And they grill each piece of meat with real care,
seeing it all laid out like this made me wish the meat would cook faster hahahahaha
They cut each piece into bite-sized portions to keep the smoke down, and I really wanted to eat it right away, ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
and they plate the fully cooked meat onto the side dish like this!!
Can you see the glossy shine on the meat?? It looked so delicious!! haha
Dip it in as much salt or soy sauce as you like first, take a bite, and mmm~~~ this might just be happiness ☺️☺️

If you want something with more of a kick, dipping it in the spicy sauce or ssamjang was great in its own way too 👍🏻

There's also a doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew) that comes with it, which felt somewhere between cheonggukjang (fermented soybean stew) and doenjang jjigae!!
This too was carefully portioned onto a dish,
and eating it alongside the meat was truly the perfect pairing!!!!
Gochujang lotus minari beef tartare, 25,000 won

All the side dishes we ordered were delicious across the board — let's take a look at the first one, the gochujang lotus minari beef tartare :)
Can you see the combination of beef tartare + vegetables + minari (water parsley) + seasoning?? ㅠㅠㅠㅠ
The bright red tartare paired so well with the yellow egg yolk 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Eating it with the cucumber on the side toned down the spice a little and made it taste even better!!
Mul-milmyeon cold wheat noodles, 9,000 won: best wrapped with the pork

The second side dish is mul-milmyeon (cold wheat noodles in broth)!!!
It seemed like the perfect dish for a hot day, and the noodles being wheat noodles rather than buckwheat made it a bit unique!! So I took a bite and??
The noodles had great chewiness, and the cold noodle broth had a slight spicy kick that was completely my taste ㅠㅠㅠ

Wrapping the meat in the noodles like this makes it wayyyy tastier, so I strongly recommend trying it ☺️☺️

And the owner specially made a potato salad for us, which was also really smooth and delicious 👍🏻

And a draft beer, which is essential with meat, made this a truly happy meal :)
Is Yukmong Bangi worth it for a Bangi-dong work dinner or date?
The combo of thick, juicy Korean pork sampler with the fragrant gochujang lotus minari beef tartare was insane...!! Cooling my throat with chilled Stella draft and finishing with tangy mul-milmyeon, I couldn't put my chopsticks down, haha
With a huge space spanning basement to second floor, this is a place I strongly recommend for both a comfortable date and a Bangi-dong company dinner Korean BBQ 👍🏻👍🏻
