Interior of Camera Da Sophia, a party room in Daeyeon-dong

While planning a farewell party for a coworker, I really agonized over where to hold it. I wanted somewhere the staff could talk comfortably, that was good for eating, where we could put on some music, and above all, somewhere clean and pleasant. That's when I found Camera Da Sophia.

Cutting to the chase — it was a really satisfying choice for this farewell party. I'd especially recommend it if you're looking for a party room in Daeyeon-dong or near Kyungsung University for a small gathering with coworkers or a special day with friends!

A Daeyeon-dong party room that's clean because it's brand new

Camera Da Sophia is a party room on the 6th floor of a newly built building on Yongso-ro 13beon-gil in Nam-gu, Busan. Maybe because it's a new building, it's spotless the moment you walk in. What we appreciated most was, without question, how clean the facilities and the building itself were. When several different people are using a party room, how clean the facilities are really matters.

Camera Da Sophia is a newly completed building, and maybe that's why the building itself felt tidy, and once we stepped inside, the whole space felt really clean overall.

The interior was apparently finished with eco-friendly paint, and it was clear there was none of that old-space smell or worn-out feeling at all, which I loved. From the moment we opened the door, the whole space definitely felt brand new. When you're eating and talking for a long stretch, that kind of cleanliness really matters. Sitting comfortably in such a clean space made the whole gathering feel so much more pleasant.

Why it was so comfortable for a small gathering

Seating where the staff farewell party was held

For this occasion, we held a farewell party with coworkers, and rather than a big crowd, we wanted a space where just us could talk comfortably. In that sense, a party room turned out to be way more comfortable than I expected. At a regular restaurant, you inevitably have to mind the tables around you, and it's hard to hold onto your spot for long once you've finished eating.

But at Camera Da Sophia, since it was a space just for us, there was none of that pressure. We could eat, chat comfortably, play music, and take photos here and there — a great way to spend the time. Especially for a gathering like a staff farewell where the conversation runs long, a space like this really suits things better than a regular restaurant. It made me think this would also be great for anyone looking for a group gathering spot near Kyungsung University.

Why we didn't even need to seek out restaurants near Kyungsung University

Gathering food prepared through delivery and pickup

And here's the part I personally found really convenient! You can use pickup or delivery from restaurants near Kyungsung University. When you're planning a gathering, sorting out restaurant reservations takes a surprising amount of mental effort — booking for the right headcount, timing everyone's arrival, and then having to find a second spot once the meal's over.

But since the gathering was at a party room, we just picked whatever food we wanted and had it delivered or picked up — done! There are plenty of good restaurants near Kyungsung University too, so it was easy for everyone to order whatever they felt like eating. Thanks to that, we didn't have to trek out together to find a restaurant in the hot weather. We got to enjoy the food from good restaurants while still having the space to ourselves, which turned out to be far more efficient. Ordering a bunch of different dishes and eating comfortably while we talked made for a really great atmosphere.

"Why would we even bother going out to a restaurant?" — that's basically what I was thinking.

A party room with upscale appliances and atmosphere

Camera Da Sophia felt a little different from a party room that's just a table and chairs. With a Samsung Bespoke TV, a Bespoke water purifier, and an Objet refrigerator all in place, the space itself felt really clean and upscale.

There was also a Balmuda coffee pot set up so you could enjoy coffee or tea, which was great for a warm drink in the middle of the gathering. With all these little details in place, the whole time using the space felt easy and comfortable.

And if you're someone who loves music, you'll probably love the party-only speaker too. The bass rumbled with real weight, and with music playing, it definitely had that party-room atmosphere. At first I just figured we'd be eating and chatting as coworkers, but once the music came on, the mood got even more fun.

A party table pretty enough for photos

Another thing that stood out was the party table at the center of the space. Apparently it cost several million won to make, and seeing it in person, it really did feel different from an ordinary table. In particular, the Armani red table became the accent piece of the space, and it made for a great mood in photos too.

It would suit gatherings where people take lots of photos, like birthday parties or bridal showers, and it also gave plenty of atmosphere for something like our staff farewell or a small get-together.

What kind of gathering suits this place

I'd recommend Camera Da Sophia for birthday parties with friends, bridal showers, anniversary gatherings, and of course, farewell parties or small get-togethers with coworkers like ours.

If you're looking for a party room in Daeyeon-dong or near Kyungsung University, or a group gathering spot near Kyungsung University, I'd recommend Camera Da Sophia, which offers not just a good location but clean, comfortable facilities too. Above all, it's clean because it's a new building, the facilities are clean, and we could use it comfortably just among ourselves — those three things were what I liked most.

You don't need to travel far just because it's a special occasion — picking up or ordering delivery from nearby restaurants and enjoying a nice space just among yourselves is honestly a pretty great approach. Next time, I'd like to use it again not for a work gathering but for a birthday or anniversary with friends.
