Evening Yeonnam-dong café with fig banana pancakes and decaf: Jam Jam

The weather has been so nice lately that I keep wanting to go out and about!! I headed to Yeonnam-dong for a wedding invitation meetup, and while searching for a place to eat and a café with a good atmosphere, I ended up going back to Jam Jam, a café I had visited before on my own dime!

Jam Jam is a café with a charming, hip, exotic interior! I'm confident that anyone from the young-and-trendy crowd will love it, because the interior, the coffee and the desserts are all great, a triple threat! ◟( ˘ ³˘)◞ ♡

Jam Jam in Yeonnam-dong: location, hours and parking

Jam Jam is at 24 Seongmisan-ro 29-gil, Mapo-gu, Seoul (basement level) and is open daily 10:00–21:00. There's no parking at Jam Jam, so I recommend buying a spot at the Yeonnam-dong public parking lot or the Yeonnam roadside public parking lot through the Modu Parking app.

Jam Jam's exterior and atmosphere in the evening

This is the outside of Jam Jam! I got there around 7 PM so it's dark, but can you already feel the hip vibe from the exterior? When I go to cafés I really prefer places with lots of green plants, and Jam Jam has plenty of them, so it's all green and decorated in a hip style. Totally my taste!

How late does Jam Jam serve brunch? Evenings are coffee and dessert only

Jam Jam's menu has coffee, tea, drinks, desserts and brunch. Jam Jam is already famous for its tasty brunch, so I was thinking of having brunch, but when we visited in the evening, brunch was finished and we could only order coffee and desserts. Just a heads-up!!

Jam Jam's indoor seating and pet-friendly spots

Inside Jam Jam there are sofa seats, and I was told there are 2 pet-friendly spots indoors, while all the outdoor seats allow pets. Great atmosphere, right? haha This sofa is soft and hugs your body, so once you start chatting, a few hours just fly by haha We sat on the round sofa at the back!

Plastered walls with plants and hip posters, plus green plants and sofas!! I love places like this so much haha A ceiling fan is spinning overhead too, so the mood is totally up up!! At Jam Jam even casual shots come out well, so you can walk away with a life-shot haha

Jam Jam even has a photo spot where you can take selfies with a Mac!! haha You can shoot and send the photos by AirDrop, but photos taken with your phone like this felt like they came out better!

Jam Jam's fresh fruit pancake in fig season: fig and banana

We ordered two decaf cold brews and the fresh fruit pancake that was so praised in the reviews!! The fresh fruit at Jam Jam changes with the season, and I heard all the food and desserts are made in-house rather than ready-made!! They use only 100% fresh cream and seasonal fruit, so you get really tasty seasonal menus. Maybe that's why the fruit was so fresh and the pancake was fluffy and moist, so so delicious 👍👍

When I visited it was fig season, so out came fresh figs, bananas and a just-baked pancake haha (figs, even better!) When I checked again recently, they said they're getting ready for strawberry season!!!! Strawberry lovers, assemble!! They also give you syrup and butter to pour on. Pancakes can't go without syrup and butter, right!?

How does Jam Jam's decaf cold brew taste?

Jam Jam's cold brew has none of that herbal-medicine taste you get at places that don't do it well. It's clean, and I drank it cold and happily haha There aren't many places that do cold brew well, but Jam Jam's tastes so good.

Would I go back to Jam Jam, a Yeonnam-dong dessert café?

Jam Jam has a good atmosphere for chatting, clean-tasting coffee and great dessert quality too, so it felt like the first time in a long while that I had such satisfying dessert and coffee~ Had a great time haha so happy

Pets are allowed and there's outdoor space to eat, so it's nice on a sunny day, and the desserts are trustworthy, so if you stop by Yeonnam-dong I totally recommend visiting Jam Jam haha Next time I'll come for brunch!! A Yeonnam-dong café I'd return to 120%.
