Today I'm at Sanhaejinmi, an all-you-can-eat shellfish grill in Oido, so let's jump right into the review!!

Where is Sanhaejinmi in Oido, and how much does it cost?
Sanhaejinmi (산해진미) is an all-you-can-eat shellfish, pork belly and eel grill at 2F, 219 Oido-ro, Siheung-si, Gyeonggi, South Korea. When you enter the building, there are stairs and an elevator on the right, so just head up from there.

For ₩45,000 per person you can eat unlimited eel, giant scallops, clams, frozen pork belly, plus ramyeon and rice. The quality is really good, so you can have high expectations!

Sanhaejinmi's atmosphere and sea-view window seats
Sanhaejinmi's biggest plus is the view, with the sea spread right out in front. I took a lap around the inside first, and the floor-to-ceiling windows by the seats show the sea stretching out. So pretty!
As you'd expect from a shellfish grill that opened not long ago, it was super comfortable and clean, which I loved haha

The staff were friendly and the air conditioning was blasting, so even on a hot day it was nice and cool to eat.

We took a window seat too. The view is wide open like this, so it's a great pick for the view alone, not just the shellfish.

What's at the Sanhaejinmi self-bar?
At the self-bar you can help yourself to ramyeon, rice and side dishes. Let me show you the self-bar too haha
The ramyeon options are Buldak, Jin Ramen and Yeol Ramen, and pots are ready for you to take. There's instant rice too haha
There's also green onion kimchi, napa cabbage kimchi, pickled perilla leaves, radish wraps, ginger, garlic, ssamjang and more. Good-quality sides that go well with pork belly, eel and grilled shellfish, so take as much as you like.
They prepare the first round of frozen pork belly for you, and refills are available at the self-bar haha
Table setup and grill layout
Every table has chojang (vinegared chili sauce), sesame oil, salt, pepper and eel sauce, and small plates, cups, spoons and chopsticks, wet wipes and napkins are all ready too, so it was easy to use haha
I brought sides from the self-bar, put the sauces on a plate, and we were ready to dig in!
Each table has one induction burner and one gas burner, so you can cook several things at once. They put charcoal on the gas burner side, so you can grill over charcoal, which was great haha Cheese is provided by default too, and you put it on the refill scallops.
What's on Sanhaejinmi's 3-tier tray?
Sanhaejinmi brings the first spread on a 3-tier tray. Ta-da! The look is crazy, and so is the amount. It's all-you-can-eat, yet the first round alone is so big that we got stuffed haha

- Top tray: frozen pork belly
- Second tray: grilled eel, clams, giant scallops
- Third tray: prepared scallops loaded with cheese
The frozen pork belly was very good quality, and the eel comes pre-grilled, so you only need to cook it a little. So convenient haha
The clams and scallops were well purged, with not a bit of sand, and the quality was excellent.
Kimchi and frozen pork belly stir-fry on the induction burner
At Sanhaejinmi they set a big round frying pan on the induction burner with green onion kimchi and napa cabbage kimchi in it.

Stir-fry it with a little sesame oil, then add the frozen pork belly and keep frying. It's seriously delicious haha

You fry the frozen pork belly right along with the kimchi, and the kimchi is so good that it tasted great without any extra seasoning haha

How do you grill the eel at Sanhaejinmi?
The eel comes pre-grilled. Cut it into bite-size pieces, put it on the foil plate they give you, and grill it over the charcoal.

Since it's pre-grilled, it was delicious even with just a little more cooking. The quality is great: thick, chewy, and with no off smell at all.

It's good with ginger, and good dipped in teriyaki sauce too haha

How to grill cheese giant scallops well
Sanhaejinmi's cheese scallops are real giant scallops. Now I'll put the cheese scallops on too. The look is crazy! They're huge scallops, and they were delicious.

To eat them at their best, leave them on the grill, and when the cheese bubbles, flip them over together with the cheese.

After flipping, cook them until just done and eat! Overcooked they can get tough, but undercooked they can upset your stomach, so be careful...!
The scallops are the real deal. Scallops this good and chewy, all-you-can-eat? I'm bursting.

Clams, scallops and scallop refills
They bring the scallops and clams from the second tray to grill too, and both were so good haha

The scallops were tasty, and these clams were nicely salty, well purged and delicious.

The amount from the first 3-tier tray already stuffs you, but I wanted more scallops, so I asked for a refill haha Again, a generous pile of fresh, good-quality giant scallops.

The cheese they gave us at the start is even better if you scoop some on like this and cook it.

Finishing with self-bar ramyeon
At Sanhaejinmi you have to boil ramyeon on the gas burner side, because the pots can't be used on the induction burner haha I was about to burst, but ramyeon is a must, so I put water in a pot and set it on the fire.
Ramyeon eaten along with the grilled shellfish, pork belly and eel was seriously amazing haha I wanted to eat rice in the broth too, but I wish my stomach could stretch more haha
If you're looking for a good shellfish grill in Oido, why not visit Sanhaejinmi?
