In short
Fluffy Bake Shop is a dessert café specializing in baked goods in Mapo, Seoul, a 2-minute walk from Exit 2 of Gongdeok Station. On this visit I took home salt bread and an egg tart in a paper bag: the Fluffy Bake Shop salt bread was crisp outside with a rich butter aroma that never felt greasy, and the egg tart paired flaky pastry with moist custard. There are days when you just need something sweet after eating in Gongdeok, right? This time I went to Fluffy Bake Shop, a spot near Gongdeok Station known for its baked goods.

This place is usually known as a go-to for financiers and madeleines, so I was curious — but this time I tried the salt bread and egg tart instead. They exceeded my expectations, so I wanted to recommend it as a great dessert spot in Gongdeok.

Inside the shop and seating
Fluffy Bake Shop isn't huge, but it has a clean, cozy vibe. There are a few seats in the back where you can sit and enjoy coffee and dessert, though most customers seemed to be there for takeout.
The whole shop is decorated in a cute, detailed way that's fun to look around, and a lot of people seemed to be there buying desserts as gifts.

Fluffy Bake Shop menu — coffee and baked goods
Fluffy Bake Shop doesn't just do baked goods — it also has a solid lineup of coffee and drinks to go with dessert.
Alongside the basics like espresso, americano, café latte, and cappuccino, they also sell signature drinks made in-house, like a house café mocha, house vanilla bean latte, and the Fluffy cream latte.

Fluffy Bake Shop sells a wide range of desserts, including financier, madeleine, canelé, salt bread, and egg tart.

There were so many kinds of madeleines and financiers that it was fun just to look at them all, and it seemed like seasonal items kept coming out too. They use French AOP Lescure butter, so the butter flavor really came through strong.

They also do 4, 6, and 15-piece gift boxes, which seemed great for thank-you gifts or office snacks. I just had mine packed in a paper bag haha!

Egg tart — crispy pastry and rich custard
The egg tart at Fluffy Bake Shop had a crispy outer pastry with visible layers, and the filling inside was really soft and moist. There was no eggy smell at all — just the rich flavor of custard, which made it feel quite luxurious.

It wasn't too sweet, so it was easy to keep eating, and the subtle butter aroma kept me reaching for more.
The contrast between the crispy outside and soft inside was really good, and eating it with a warm americano made me feel like I was properly at a dessert café.
Salt bread — salty butter flavor all the way through
The salt bread was personally the item I was most satisfied with on this visit to Fluffy Bake Shop. The outside was baked to a nice golden brown with a crisp texture intact, and biting into it revealed a moist inside with a strong butter aroma spreading through. Salt bread with a lot of butter can sometimes feel greasy, but Fluffy Bake Shop's version wasn't heavy at all.

The salty flavor and the savory butter went really well together, so I could keep eating it without getting tired of it, and the savory flavor seemed to come through more the more I chewed. Next time I want to buy a few, freeze them, and warm one up at a time ㅠㅠ
Final thoughts — also great as a Gongdeok Station bakery gift
If you're looking for good baked goods in Gongdeok, Fluffy Bake Shop was a highly satisfying spot. The salt bread was crispy with a deep butter flavor, and the egg tart had a really nice balance of moist custard and crispy pastry.
There were so many kinds of desserts that I found myself wanting to come back and try the financiers and madeleines too, and the gift packaging was clean and nice, so I'd recommend it for thank-you gifts or snacks. If you want to enjoy a good dessert with a cup of coffee near Gongdeok Station, give it a visit.
