Gongdeok café with kids: mango orange juice and egg tart, Ieo Coffee

I was walking along the Gyeongui Line Forest Park with the kids, looking for somewhere to rest, when a pretty café caught my eye. I needed a place that would satisfy both me, who loves coffee with some acidity, and my husband, who prefers nutty flavors.

I heard they roast their own beans, so with high expectations I opened the door to Ieo Coffee Roasters and stepped inside!

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch sits on the ground floor of a red brick building near the Gyeongui Line Forest Park. The building stands out from far away, so it wasn't hard to find.

The warm lighting glowing through the floor-to-ceiling windows got me excited even before stepping in!

What I especially loved were the small wooden tables and cushions set up outside the café. On a nice day like this, it's the perfect spot to soak in the Gyeongui Line Forest Park café vibe. It made me think, "sitting here to have a drink would be so nice" — such a lovely little space, haha.

Menu and house-roasted beans: americano at 4,300 won

The price of an americano at Ieo Coffee Roasters is ₩4,300. Walking into the store, the first thing that greeted me was a neatly organized menu board.

I was curious about their signature almond latte and basil milk tea too!

Being a proper roastery café, they had a wide variety of beans available, so you can buy the beans you like directly at the store.

Feeling like coffee alone wasn't enough, I also added an egg tart and a cookie from the display case.

Ordering three drinks and desserts for the kids and myself at Ieo Coffee Roasters came to a total of ₩22,000. I was so relieved they had mango orange juice as a non-coffee option for the kids~

The golden-baked look of the egg tart seemed like it would pair perfectly with coffee, and my mouth was watering the moment I saw it! One sip of the bright americano followed by a bite of sweet dessert, and happiness just spread through my whole mouth, you know?

The kids seemed to love the mango orange juice too, emptying a whole cup in no time, haha. It was an even more memorable time because everyone in the family got to enjoy tea time according to their own taste.

Is Ieo Coffee Roasters busy at 3pm on a weekday?

Even though I visited around 3pm on a weekday, the inside of Ieo Coffee Roasters was already completely full, without a single empty seat.

Maybe because it's a well-known spot even among cafés near Daeheung Station, the popularity was intense, and we barely managed to grab a seat. The interior is on the cozy side, so the tables are closer together than expected, giving it a slightly bustling feel.

But the posters on the walls and the green plants scattered around added a cozy touch~

On one shelf, they also sell house-roasted beans and cold brew concentrate, which would make a nice gift. Standing in this small but well put-together space, breathing in the delicious coffee aroma, felt like healing. If you're looking for properly roasted, delicious coffee near Gongdeok Station, this place is worth a visit~

Ieo Coffee Roasters Gongdeok Branch was a charming roastery café where I could enjoy coffee just to my taste. With fruit juice options for kids and sweet desserts on hand, it's also perfect for a family outing.
