Family café in Aewol, Jeju with decaf and a swing: Aewolbon Café
In short
Aewolbon Café is an ocean-view café on Aewolhaean-ro in Aewol-eup, Jeju City, with a panoramic view of the Aewol sea right in front. On the last day of a 3-night, 4-day Jeju trip over the National Foundation Day holiday, a three-generation family sat on Aewolbon Café's 1st floor with Americanos (including decaf) and a handmade matcha chocolate scone, while the kids played on the swing out front and in the courtyard of the resort next door. With high chairs and a dog-friendly policy, Aewolbon Café is a good Aewol café for resting by the sea with kids.

Why we stopped at Aewolbon Café on the last day of our Jeju trip
Aewolbon Café is an ocean-view café right on Aewolhaean-ro, with the Aewol sea spread out in front of it. We wrapped up our 3-night, 4-day Jeju trip over the October Foundation Day holiday here. The weather on our last day was absolutely amazing. Ocean-view cafés are the thing I always hunt down whenever I visit Jeju, and on a day like this there was no way we were skipping a café with a beautiful Jeju sea view.
Right in front of the café, you get this wide-open, deep blue view of the Jeju sea. The day before had been quite windy and chilly, but the last day was much warmer, so it was the perfect time to enjoy the autumn weather outdoors.

From the outdoor seats on the 1st floor to the terrace seats on the 2nd floor, this Aewol café in Jeju is a great place to take in the panoramic Jeju ocean view.

Aewolbon Café's 1st floor is great with kids and parents
Since we had kids and my parents with us, our family took a table on the 1st floor. The courtyard of the resort next door was also a relaxed spot where the kids could run around and we could take photos, so we could spend our last café time comfortably. Aewolbon Café is dog-friendly too, and up on the 2nd-floor terrace there was a guest who had brought a pet dog :-)

Aewolbon Café menu and prices: is there decaf?
Aewolbon Café has a decaf option for its Americano. We went in on the 1st floor to order.

- Americano, hot & iced (₩6,000)
- Iced decaf Americano (₩6,500)
- Handmade matcha chocolate scone (₩5,500)
That's our order. I was glad the decaf option was available! We had eaten a meal beforehand this time, so we didn't try them, but going by the reviews the sandwiches look really generous and tasty, so it seems like a good place to come for a sandwich and a coffee for breakfast. They open at 10 AM, so it works for a late breakfast.

They sell a few cakes too, but

the handmade scones at Aewolbon Café looked even better, so scones were our dessert pick.

Aewolbon Café's 2nd-floor terrace and sofa seats
The restroom at Aewolbon Café is on the 2nd floor. On the way there I had a look around the 2nd floor too, and the spacious, relaxed interior is lovely,

and the 2nd-floor terrace seats, with an even better view looking down on the sea, would be so nice for a cup of coffee. But with the kids along, we chose the 1st floor for safety, and the 1st floor still has a gorgeous view of the sea.

The view looking down from the 2nd floor.

Another draw is the quite comfy, plush sofa seating inside on the 2nd floor. Ocean-view cafés in Jeju with comfortable sofa seats seem hard to find, but here was a café where you can really sprawl out and look at the sea! Of course, with the kids I had no room to sprawl out myself ^_^;;

Aewolbon Café with kids: high chairs, a swing and the resort courtyard
Aewolbon Café has high chairs too. It welcomes both kids and pets ^.^

I used to visit Jeju almost once a year, but it looks like our next visit will be in about 3 years, so I soaked up the beautiful sea view to keep it in my eyes. The kids also had a great time running around in front of the café.

There's a swing next to the table where we sat, so the kids each took a turn on it. A path also connects to the courtyard of the resort right next door, and with the kids playing against colorful sculptures and the blue sea, it was a picture-perfect scene.

Aewolbon Café's matcha chocolate scone and decaf Americano: how they tasted
Here are the matcha chocolate scone and three coffees we ordered at Aewolbon Café. That day all our drinks were Americanos.

With a great sea, great sky and great sunshine, it's the magic that makes you take loads of photos.

The well-baked matcha chocolate scone isn't very sweet, with the bittersweet matcha flavor coming through nicely, and it has plenty of sweet chocolate chips. My parents and I were all happy with it, and it goes perfectly with coffee.

I ordered the decaf coffee and it had a decent flavor, and everyone seemed to enjoy the regular Americano too. You can enjoy the gorgeous panoramic Jeju ocean view right in front of you in a relaxed atmosphere, and the kids can run around nearby, so this Aewol café in Jeju, Aewolbon Café, was especially good for visiting with children :D
