After my friend and I walked along the stone wall path at Jongmyo Shrine and looked around the Sewoon Sangga area, we headed to Patio on the second floor of Hotel Kukdo, which I had found in advance. The meal paired a basic buffet with a main dish: my friend chose steak, while I picked seafood tomato pasta.
Where is Hotel Kukdo Patio?
It is on the second floor of Hotel Kukdo at 164 Eulji-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul. It is about 130 m on foot from Exit 10 of Euljiro 4-ga Station, so it was easy to reach by public transportation.
What are the interior and main-ordering system like?
The dining room was spacious and pleasant, and the open kitchen, where I could watch the cooking, stood out.
At the time of my visit, the format was a basic buffet with a choice of either pasta or steak as one main dish. My friend wanted meat and chose steak, while I was craving tomato sauce and ordered pasta.
What food and drinks were at the buffet?
The basic buffet was more substantial than I expected. There was a salad station with fresh vegetables and a range of dishes, plus ramen that I could cook myself and refreshing buckwheat soba, making it fun to choose from different options.
The bar on one side offered unlimited sake, and matcha was also available free of charge. There was a coffee machine, so it was nice to have dessert and coffee after the meal.

The steak my friend chose was a good size, with a crisp exterior and juicy interior that gave it a satisfying chew. The tomato pasta I ordered had plenty of seafood. The savory sauce coated the noodles well, and the pasta was cooked just right, so I enjoyed it to the last bite.

I heard that group seating is available for 10 to 80 people, while private rooms can accommodate 10 to 40 people. With its spacious dining area and separate rooms, it seemed suitable for company dinners or family gatherings.
Corkage and wine pairing by a professional sommelier are also available. Corkage is a service that provides glasses and other items for drinking wine brought in by guests, for a service fee. Based on my meal with my friend, I thought it would be nice to return for an anniversary or date.
What should you keep in mind about parking?
There is a mechanical parking garage, and the valet parking fee listed in the original post is ₩2,000. However, parking is limited and large vehicles may be difficult to park. Since it is close to the station, I would recommend using public transportation.
I was very satisfied with both the food and the buffet selection. I give it 4.8 out of 5, and it was a place I would like to revisit with my friend.
