Comedy play in Jongno, Seoul: Suspicious PT Shop at Nine Theater
In short
Nine Theater (나인 씨어터) in Jongno, Seoul, is a theater where I watched the comedy play Suspicious PT Shop from the second row. Its familiar personal-training-gym setting and shared laughs made it easy to enjoy, while the second-row seat felt close enough for vivid acting without being overwhelming.

Looking for a Daehangno comedy play for easy laughs?
I was looking for a play I could enjoy with easy laughs rather than something heavy, so I chose Suspicious PT Shop at Nine Theater (나인 씨어터). The title caught my interest, and it turned out to be more fun than I expected.

How was it for watching with a partner or friends?
This time, I went to see a play after spending time in Hyehwa. Planning the day around the performance made it feel like an outing to Daehangno. I thought it could also be nice for spending time with a partner or friends if you pair it with a nearby meal or café visit before or after the show.

How were the PT gym setting and live acting?
As its title suggests, Suspicious PT Shop is a story set in a personal training gym. Since it is a space we encounter easily around us, the setting felt familiar, and I could immerse myself in the characters' situations without difficulty.

I liked being able to see the actors' expressions, ways of speaking, and movements right in front of me. It had a sense of immediacy that felt different from watching a film in a cinema.

The PT gym backdrop felt fresh to me, and overall I enjoyed the show more than I expected.

It was also fun to look through the lineup of cast members.

Can you enjoy it even if you do not see plays often?
The situations themselves were funny, so it was easy to watch casually. I felt it would suit a day when you want a performance where you can laugh comfortably with friends or a partner, rather than a difficult or heavy story.

During the comic scenes, the audience's reactions added to the atmosphere of laughing together. That live atmosphere made me think it would be easy to enjoy even with someone who does not watch plays often.

Was the second-row seat too close?
I watched from the second row. It did not feel uncomfortably close, and I could see the actors' performances more vividly.

Where do you collect tickets and wait?
The theater was underground. At first, I thought tickets were collected above ground, but I just needed to go downstairs.

During my visit, I collected my ticket directly underground.

There was also a waiting area. Audience members who arrived early could sit and wait until the performance time.
