Jamsil brunch restaurant: build-your-own burrata omelette at Que Sera
In short
Que Sera is a terrace brunch restaurant in a quiet residential block beside Seokchon Lake in Songpa, Seoul, within a 10-minute walk of Exit 2 of Samjeon Station. Instead of a fixed set, Que Sera lets you build a plate, and this brunch combined a farmer's omelette with Swiss cheese and burrata, roasted vegetables, a mini salad, pumpkin soup and a caffè latte. Choosing every element of the plate was Que Sera's biggest appeal.

The weather has been so good lately, right? It felt like a waste to just stay home on the weekend, so I went looking for a good brunch spot near Seokchon Lake and found Que Sera. But wow, what is this vibe? A terrace brunch café bursting with atmosphere was hiding right in the middle of a residential neighborhood.

I also really liked that you could mix and match the food however you wanted. If you're looking for a good brunch spot in Jamsil, I really recommend going once when the weather's nice.
Where is Que Sera, and how far is it from Samjeon Station?

You can walk to Que Sera from Exit 2 of Samjeon Station in under 10 minutes at a leisurely pace. It's also a decent walk over from Seokchon Lake, so it'd make a good addition to a weekend date course.

The terrace right in front of the store was especially pretty. On a cool day like these, I thought sitting on the terrace for brunch would be the real deal. It also looked like a great spot to stop by while walking a dog, so if I lived in the neighborhood I think I'd come all the time.
What does the inside of Que Sera look like?

The inside felt so cozy too. It's run by the owner alone, and everything from the interior to the dishware had a distinct sense of taste.

It's a completely different charm from the big, flashy brunch cafés. It felt like enjoying a leisurely weekend brunch in a quiet neighborhood, and personally I really love that kind of vibe. With a terrace on top of that, it's perfect for a date on a nice day.
Que Sera's menu: choose your own omelette add-ons

Looking at the menu, what I liked once more was that you can eat it however you combine it. There are base items like the open sandwich, fish cutlet, beef & cheese, and shrimp avocado sandwich plates, and the farmer's omelette, but you can add whatever ingredients you want on top. You can order a single item and add to it, or, like me, just combine whatever you feel like eating.
I just went with whatever I wanted from start to finish. I added Swiss cheese to the omelette and picked burrata cheese, roasted vegetables, a mini salad, and pumpkin soup. With a caffè latte on top, my ideal weekend brunch spread was complete. They also have pasta, salad, and wine, so I want to come back for dinner next time.
How did the burrata omelette and pumpkin soup taste?

The moment the food arrived, I let out a 'wow' just from the look of the omelette. It was plated so cutely, dish and all, that I couldn't not take a photo.

The omelette was soft, and adding the Swiss cheese really brought out a savory flavor. Eating it together with the roasted vegetables, salad, and burrata cheese made for fun bites of variety even within a single plate.
While eating, I thought, 'I should try making an omelette like this at home too.' Though I'm not sure it'll come out looking this good at home.

And the pumpkin soup. This was seriously so good.
It seemed homemade, and it was really rich and sweet while still carrying the pumpkin's own flavor properly. It wasn't just strongly sweet — it had a soft, healthy feel to it too, so I kept going for another spoonful and then another.

With the latte alongside it, I really felt like I'd had a proper weekend brunch. Above all, being able to build a brunch plate according to my own taste instead of just eating a set menu felt like Que Sera's biggest charm.
Que Sera reservations and parking

Reservations are possible through Naver, and it's best to contact the store separately about parking before your visit. If you use a nearby parking lot, there's no separate parking support, so if you're driving, I'd recommend checking ahead before you go.

If you want to walk around Seokchon Lake on a nice weekend and then have brunch, isn't this exactly the kind of place for that? The cozy atmosphere was great, you can combine the food however you like, and above all, the omelette and pumpkin soup I actually tried were so satisfying. If you're looking for a good brunch spot in Jamsil, or a nice-vibe date spot instead of an ordinary café, try Que Sera once. Next time, I want to sit on the terrace and have some wine too.
