Dongtan pasta restaurant with cheongyang chili cream ravioli: Paol

I've eaten pasta all over Dongtan, but it's been a while since I found somewhere that actually blew me away. Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch. Four of us friends went, and with every single dish we kept saying "this is so good" haha.

It wasn't just the pasta — the risotto and ravioli were both great too, food quality was solid, and the interior was totally my style. Honestly, my No. 1 Western restaurant in Dongtan so far. I'd love to go back again for other menu items!!

Where is Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch, and how do you park?

Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch is at Unit 105, A-dong, D'ETRE PRESTIGE, near Dongtan Yeoul Park. 105, A-dong, D'ETRE PRESTIGE, 29 Dongtanosan-ro, Hwaseong-si, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea.

It's about 650m from Exit 4 of Dongtan Station. If you're driving, you can use the building's parking lot.

It's easiest to search "Megabox Dongtan Station" to find the parking entrance. From there: turn left → go straight → park, then take the elevator at Gate C5 down to B1. Exit at Gate C8 and turn right — Paol is right there!

The building is big, so it can be a little confusing the first time — following this exact route makes it much easier.

After eating, just mention it at the counter when you pay and they'll register your parking on their tablet.

Paol's hours, kids' seating and corkage

Tue–Sun 11:00–21:00, break time 15:00–17:00, last order 20:00, closed every Monday. They have baby chairs and baby tableware, so it's fine to bring kids, and corkage is allowed too.

What the dining room at Paol feels like

The moment I walked in, I loved the interior. White mixed with wood tones — clean and bright, but not the overly styled "Instagram restaurant" look. It felt tidy and cozy, comfortable enough to just sit and eat.

Light poured in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, and even the tables and dishware were spotless — I already thought I'd picked well before the food even arrived. It's great for hanging out with friends, and the atmosphere works fine for a date too.

There are plenty of pretty Western restaurants in Dongtan these days, but finding one where the food is actually good too isn't as easy as you'd think. Paol isn't just a pretty space — the food quality keeps up, and that's what I liked most.

From pasta and risotto to steak, the range is pretty wide.

We got the pasta set and added the cheongyang cream ravioli. The set includes 2 pastas, a citrus fruit salad, and 1 drink. With a pasta swap and a risotto add-on, the set came to ₩47,000, plus ₩22,000 for the cheongyang cream ravioli — ₩69,000 total.

Citrus fruit salad, the set starter

First up was the citrus fruit salad. It wasn't just a token side dish. Fresh greens with cherry tomatoes, olives, and orange, plus a generous amount of cheese on top — fresh and delicious! It set up my appetite perfectly before the pasta came, and we finished it fast.

Mosi bongolle clam pasta, 20,000 won

Then the clam pasta. Genuinely loaded with clams, and the look of it alone was impressive.

It wasn't just greasy — the umami from the clams blended perfectly with the garlic aroma, so I kept going back for more. The noodles were cooked just right and the seasoning was well balanced overall. I love bongolle and have had it at a lot of places — Paol's was really good!!

Steak risotto, 23,000 won

The best dish of the day, and the most striking to look at — the steak risotto. Steak and arugula piled generously on top of creamy risotto.

It wasn't a couple of stray steak slices thrown on top — the steak had real presence. Eating the savory, creamy risotto together with the steak was such a good combo. One bite of bongolle, one bite of risotto, repeat forever haha.

Cheongyang chili cream ravioli, 22,000 won

And then the cheongyang cream ravioli. Personally, I really enjoyed this one too.

The cream sauce is rich and savory, but the cheongyang chili cuts through the finish, so even though it's a cream dish, it never gets heavy — you just keep eating. The crispy topping on top adds good texture too. If you like cream-based dishes, definitely try this one.

The full table, shared four ways

When all the food arrived, it already looked amazing — and it actually tasted even better than it looked. Usually when you order several dishes, at least one turns out to be mediocre. Here, from the salad to the bongolle, risotto, and ravioli, nothing fell short. So the four of us kept saying it was good, over and over haha.

We also had Bundaberg Pink Grapefruit alongside, which paired well with the cream dish, and the atmosphere was perfect for talking slowly with friends while sharing several dishes.

Is Paol worth remembering among Dongtan Western restaurants?

Having lived in Dongtan a long time, I've been to a lot of pasta and Western restaurants — and this is my No. 1 so far. It's not just a pretty space, and it's not just fancy plating — the food itself is genuinely delicious, the ingredients and composition are solid, and you can really feel the quality while eating.

Most of all, every single dish we ordered was delicious. Even when I visit somewhere for a sponsored review, if the food is just so-so, I usually don't feel like going back — but with Paol, I actually want to return to try other dishes. Next time I'm planning to try the spicy crab rosé pasta and the steak :)
