With the nice weather lately, I was craving good Western food in a nice atmosphere, so I looked around and ended up at Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch, which is quickly becoming a go-to spot near Dongtan Station. High-quality Western dishes, a classy atmosphere, and a comfortable space — it all came together so well that I really wanted to share it.

Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch benefits from the really convenient parking facilities built into the Dietrue Prestige building. For anyone driving, parking is such a key factor.

There's plenty of space, so even less confident drivers can park without stress. Take the elevator at the C5 gate entrance down to B1, turn right, exit through the C8 entrance, and turn right — Paol comes into view.

It's located right near Dongtan Station and Yeoul Park, so it's genuinely the perfect route for stopping by before or after a stroll through the park, or for a date.

From the entrance, the tidy yet mood-rich interior catches your eye right away.

It has a modern yet warm feel, the kind of exterior that makes you want to take photos before you even step inside.

Once inside, a clean, well-maintained, pleasant space opens up.

There was more seating further inside too. My expectations went up a lot when I heard the chef in charge has a background at a five-star hotel! The space definitely matched that — food that's unfussy and clean yet rich in flavor.

Every piece of tableware is thoughtfully chosen, making it perfect for a romantic date with a partner as well as gatherings or work dinners.

The spicy crab rose pasta is generously loaded with a whole crab, giving it a deep, rich seafood flavor.

The rose sauce, which can get heavy, had just enough spice added that I could eat it all the way to the last bite without getting tired of it. It wasn't very spicy, though.

The rich, thick sauce and the noodles worked together beautifully.

You could really taste the skill of a top-tier chef, exactly what you'd expect from a go-to spot near Dongtan Station.

It looked great too, so it was delicious the whole way through.

The noodles held their texture nicely without going mushy. And that deep flavor on top of it!

Steak risotto: sous vide steak and chewy oat grains

The steak risotto is a creamy risotto piled with tender, juicy sous vide steak cooked slowly at a low temperature.

Oats mixed into the risotto rice added a nutty flavor and a chewy bite that was really outstanding.

With the nutty, rich cream sauce, the steak was so tender it just melted!

The popping texture of the oats rounded out the three-way balance really well in this steak risotto. Next time I'd love to try the steak on its own!
