Parking is a pretty important thing in Ingye-dong 🚗 There are spots right in front of the restaurant, and going around the back of the building leads to a separate underground lot. Since it's free for 2 hours, driving there felt a lot less stressful.

Once inside, the place was bigger than I expected! The tables had plenty of space between them so I didn't feel crammed in next to my neighbors, and there was a range of seating from 4-tops to bigger group tables.

It seemed like a comfortable spot for people eating alone too, with a TV in the dining room, so solo dining here wouldn't feel awkward at all. Good option if you're looking for solo meals in Ingye-dong 😊

Menu and spice levels: ugeoji pork bone soup at 11,000 won

The menu was more varied than I expected — the signature pork bone soup, seonji (blood soup) haejangguk, pork bone udon soup, ugeoji dishes, pork bone hot pot and more. The pork bone soup in particular lets you choose your spice level separately, so if you like a spicier broth you can order it your way!

We ordered the ugeoji special pork bone soup, both at regular spice level. Spicy is +₩1,000 and extra spicy is +₩2,000, apparently. Next time I really need to try it extra spicy haha 🌶️

The ugeoji special pork bone soup comes with both ugeoji (dried radish greens) and pork bone together, and the portion was piled high — it looked filling just to see it.

Eating the ugeoji together with the warm broth went really well with rice, and it was exactly what I wanted on a day I was craving warm soup 🥹

Haejangguk really has to be eaten piping hot to taste its best, so I took the first spoonful straight from the bubbling broth — it warmed me from the inside out haha
