Dongtan Station pasta restaurant, ₩39,000 set for three: Paol

I was looking for a good spot near Dongtan Station for a group meal and found Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch. They had steak and pasta set menus, so I ordered right away.

Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch is 651 meters from Exit 4 of Dongtan Station, in Dietre Pastige Building A, Unit 105. It's an easy walk from the subway exit where GTX-A runs, and parking is available too.

I was on the hunt for a nice-atmosphere restaurant near Dongtan Station, and Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch really caught my eye.

Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch is close to Megabox too, so it's a great spot for a meal before or after a movie. It's 651 meters from Exit 4 of Dongtan Station, in Dietre Pastige Building A.

I took the GTX-A line and walked over, but it turns out there's parking available inside the building too.

Inside Paol: seating and table spacing for a group of three

Paol Dongtan Yeoul Park Branch had fairly wide table spacing, which made it look great for group meals. Reservations are possible in advance, and when I visited on a weekday there were walk-in guests too.

The entrance is smaller than you'd expect, so make sure you find the right spot.

Paol set menus and prices: ₩39,000 pasta set, ₩59,000 steak set

The pasta set is ₩39,000 and the steak set is ₩59,000. You order contactless through the T-order tablet at each table — since there were three of us, we ordered the set menu plus one extra pasta.

Every set menu comes with one salad and one drink included, which makes it a much better deal than ordering a la carte. Both sets share the same base of one pasta, one drink, and one fruit salad, with the item in each set's name added on top.

Tasting the ragu pasta, vongole pasta and sous vide steak

Ragu pasta and vongole pasta are each ₩20,000 a la carte, and the steak, cooked sous vide, was tender. The water even comes as tasty barley tea — this Dongtan Station restaurant has dim lighting plus a lamp at every table, giving it a really great atmosphere.

Ragu pasta, ₩20,000. It's seasoned with onion, garlic, and peperoncino for a slight kick, but the tomato-based ragu sauce isn't heavy at all, so even people who aren't big fans of Western food can enjoy it.

The fruit salad that comes with the set had grapes, cherry tomatoes, and bell peppers on top, so it was fun picking through it.

Vongole pasta, ₩20,000 a la carte. It was packed with clams, giving it great flavor.

Looking at just this, it seems like the pasta set spread (2 pastas + fruit salad + 1 drink), but the steak comes out afterward.

Bread also comes out before the meal — it's filling dipped in the ragu sauce, and dipping it in the vongole pasta gives a whole different flavor to enjoy.

The steak was cooked sous vide too, and it was completely tender! The atmosphere was great, making it a fitting spot for a group gathering — and if I came back for a date, I'd want to add wine next time.
