Gijang outlet mall Western restaurant with porcini gnocchi: Bueokgan
In short
Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is a Western restaurant on the first floor of the NORTH building at the Gijang outlet mall in Busan. The order was arugula prosciutto pizza and porcini mushroom gnocchi, and dipping the pizza into the rich mushroom sauce was the combination that stood out. Bueokgan is an easy stop for a family meal or a date before or after shopping.

I went shopping at the Busan Premium Outlets and was craving Western food, so I searched around and found Bueokgan, a well-known chain!?!
There are so many restaurants inside the outlet that picking one is honestly a bit of a struggle, but that day I was craving pizza and gnocchi, so I decided on Bueokgan :)

Where is Bueokgan at Busan Premium Outlets, and when is it open?
- 1133 Jeonggwan-ro, Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, Busan, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets NORTH 1F
- Hours 10:30–21:00 / Last order 20:30
- Use the outlet parking lot

The restaurant is a bit further inside NORTH 1F of the Shinsegae Premium Outlets. It's near the same building as the WINE shop, so it's a convenient spot to eat while browsing the outlet.
The overall vibe was clean with a European-restaurant feel, which was pretty nice for a restaurant inside an outlet mall. Lots of families were there, and it felt fine for a date or a meal with friends too~!

Is Bueokgan easy to visit with a child?
If you're looking for a kid-friendly restaurant at the Busan Shinsegae outlet, this is a great recommendation!! There were tons of little customers~ and it's spacious enough for strollers too!

The table setting was also nicely arranged.

Arugula prosciutto pizza and porcini mushroom gnocchi at Bueokgan
We ordered two things: arugula prosciutto pizza and porcini mushroom gnocchi! Both are dishes I usually love, so there was no hesitation picking them.

How the arugula prosciutto pizza tasted: light and salty
First came the arugula prosciutto pizza! With arugula and prosciutto on top, it had a nicely light-yet-salty flavor overall. The dough wasn't too thick either, so it was easy to eat without feeling heavy, and the arugula's distinct aroma plus the prosciutto's saltiness made for a better combination than I expected.

I especially liked that each slice of pizza didn't feel overloaded with toppings. When you're eating while shopping at an outlet, a pizza style like this seems to suit better than something too heavy or intense, don't you think?
And the dish I personally liked even more that day was the porcini mushroom gnocchi.

The porcini mushroom gnocchi sauce worth dipping pizza into
The sauce, infused with the distinctive flavor of porcini mushrooms, was quiiiite delicious. The gnocchi had a chewy texture, and the sauce was rich with mushroom flavor coming through clearly — a taste that kept me reaching for more after every bite! Above all, this sauce was really something.

At first I just ate the gnocchi with the sauce, but as I kept eating, I found that dipping the pizza into the sauce was also delicious. Highly recommend this combo!! The salty flavor of the pizza itself, combined with the rich depth of the porcini sauce, made it feel like a whole different dish. In the end I kept diligently dipping the pizza into the sauce too, haha.

Personally, of everything I ate that day, the porcini mushroom gnocchi was the most memorable. The gnocchi's texture was good, but above all the sauce was so delicious that I was fully satisfied. I also liked that ordering it alongside the arugula prosciutto pizza let us share two very different flavors.

Bueokgan menu options for sharing with a group
Bueokgan has a pretty wide menu, so it seemed easy to order for when you're visiting with several people. With options like napa cabbage Caesar salad, truffle gnocchi, jambon pizza, and the Bueokgan steak, it seemed good to order one pizza, one pasta or gnocchi, and one salad or other dish to share. Especially for family visits, having lots of menu options seemed like a plus.

Bueokgan as a Western meal in Gijang before or after shopping
Having visited in person, I felt this would be a solid pick for anyone looking for Western food in Gijang, right inside the outlet. Since it's inside the Shinsegae Premium Outlets, parking is easy and there's no hassle moving around before or after shopping, so it's worth considering when looking for a good lunch spot in Gijang.

The restaurant's vibe isn't too casual, so it also works well for a date in Gijang, and overall it felt comfortable for eating with family too. They reportedly have baby chairs and tableware ready for families visiting with kids, so it's worth keeping in mind if you're looking for a family dining spot in Gijang.
If you're looking for a restaurant recommendation at the Busan Shinsegae Premium Outlets, Bueokgan is a great place to stop by while shopping~! Next time I visit, I'd like to try the dishes I didn't get to this time. Since the sauce was so good this time, I'm also curious about their other pasta dishes... haha. If you're looking for somewhere to shop and have a relaxed meal at the outlet, Bueokgan Restaurant is worth a visit :)
