I went to Busan Premium Outlets this time to shop and ended up staying for dinner too. While looking for somewhere to eat in the outlet, I found Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets. They have everything from pasta to pizza to steak, so it'd be great for a group where everyone wants something different. The place is spacious with a clean, slightly upscale feel, so it was nice to dress up the mood a bit while eating after shopping.

What is the Bueokgan dining room like? Roomier and smarter than expected

😊 Walking into Bueokgan, the interior was fairly spacious. The tables weren't cramped and everything felt neatly arranged, so it was a comfortable place to eat. They also have sofa seats and baby chairs ready, so it'd work well for families too. Anyone shopping and looking for a family restaurant to eat at together would probably like it here. It's not too casual for a date either — there's enough atmosphere for that.

Three dishes two people ordered at Bueokgan

🍽️ We ordered three things: truffle mushroom gnocchi, jambon pizza, and sweet potato fries. Three dishes for two people was perfect for sharing a bit of everything. There's a good range of pasta and pizza, so choosing was fun — this time I even went for gnocchi, which I don't usually order.

Truffle mushroom gnocchi: real truffle flavour

🍄 We started with the truffle mushroom gnocchi. Visually there were tons of mushrooms in it. The first bite had a pretty strong truffle flavor. I'm somewhat familiar with truffle so it felt recognizable, but also different enough from a regular pasta to be interesting. At first I thought 'oh, the truffle aroma is pretty strong,' but I kept going back for more as I ate. With plenty of mushrooms mixed in, the texture paired well with the gnocchi. Worth trying if you like truffle. Personally the jambon pizza was the most memorable dish of the day, but the truffle mushroom gnocchi definitely had its own character.

Jambon pizza: best dipped in honey

🍕 The one I personally enjoyed the most was the jambon pizza. Where the truffle gnocchi was rich and distinctive, the jambon pizza was a bit sweeter and easier to keep eating. Most of all I really liked the dough — chewy with a great bite, and it went well with the toppings on top. Dipping it in honey added sweetness and worked way better than I expected, haha. I already like dipping pizza in honey, so this combo hit exactly my taste. I got a bit more honey to dip and it was just as good the second time. If you're looking for a good pizza spot in Gijang near Busan Premium Outlets, the jambon pizza is worth ordering.

Sweet potato fries: a better match than expected

🍠 Last up, sweet potato fries! I thought they'd be similar to regular fries but they were a different experience. The natural sweetness of the sweet potato was nice on its own, but we also dipped them in the leftover honey from the pizza. That combo worked surprisingly well too, haha. The sweetness of the sweet potato plus the honey made it feel almost like dessert. I initially thought of it as just a side dish, but I kept reaching for more and finished the whole thing. If I come back, I'd order the sweet potato fries again.

How Bueokgan differs from the outlet food court

Full meal spread at Bueokgan Restaurant

🍝 Having tried all three dishes, the food overall came out clean and well-made. What I liked most was that it felt more atmospheric than your typical outlet food court. With everything from pasta and gnocchi to pizza and sides, there was plenty of variety for two people to share. Anyone looking for a good pasta spot in Gijang would have plenty of options here. Being able to shop at the outlet and handle a meal in the same trip was convenient, and the atmosphere worked well for both a date and a family outing. It's the kind of place that comes to mind when I think of good Western food in Gijang, and next time I'd like to try other pasta or risotto dishes.

Is Bueokgan worth it after Gijang outlet shopping?

📝 Bueokgan Restaurant, Shinsegae Simon Busan Premium Outlets is spacious and clean, making it a comfortable place to eat. Visiting on a weekday evening, parking was easy and the food came out consistently well-made — great for a meal after shopping. Of everything I tried, the jambon pizza was my favorite. The chewy dough and toppings were good, and dipping it in honey added a sweetness that kept me coming back for more. The truffle mushroom gnocchi had a strong truffle flavor with plenty of mushrooms, good for truffle lovers, and the sweet potato fries dipped in honey worked way better than expected. Next time I'd order the sweet potato fries again, and I'm curious about the other dishes I didn't get to try. If you want to combine shopping and a meal while still enjoying some atmosphere, this is worth keeping in mind as a good Western restaurant in Gijang. If you like brunch, it might also be nice to visit during the day and enjoy it more like a relaxed brunch café. The food and interior feel a bit upscale overall, so I'd like to stop by again next time I'm at Busan Premium Outlets.

⭐ One-line verdict — The chewy jambon pizza and honey-dipped sweet potato fries were what stuck with me most!
