Haeundae restaurant with stretchy Margherita pizza: Smith's Farm

Returning to an Italian restaurant in Haeundae

It had been a while, and my boyfriend and I wanted to enjoy a nice atmosphere, so we returned to Smith's Farm, a popular Italian restaurant in Haeundae.

Since the restaurant has parking, it was easy to come by car.

You can enter the parking area from either side of the building. It was spacious when we visited, but evenings may be different, so I recommend arriving right at opening!

It is a five-minute walk from Exit 4 of Dongbaek Station,

and the entrance is under the green awning marked PIZZA & PASTA. I made a reservation in advance, but it is popular at weekend lunch, so the wait could be quite long without one.

They had a seating area where you could wait comfortably.

There is a Tableling kiosk at the entrance where you can immediately check the number of waiting parties. There were two parties ahead of us that day, but it was 1:30 p.m. on a weekend, which may be why it ended there. Weekend lunch peak hours could mean a longer wait, so keep that in mind.

From stone octopus steak to pizza and pasta

Looking over the menu, the selection was really substantial, from soup and salads to gnocchi, pasta, and pizza. True to a place with distinctive dishes, the stone octopus steak was listed separately as Smith's Farm's best menu item.

The stone octopus steak that brought me back

The first dish I want to introduce is the stone octopus steak (₩29,800). It was also the reason I came back, and I could see why it is called Smith's Farm's number-one menu item.

I came back because I kept thinking about this octopus, so as I ate it, I kept thinking, this is so good!

Margherita pizza with seriously stretchy cheese

We also ordered the Margherita pizza (₩23,800).

When I lifted a slice, the cheese stretched so evenly. I do not think I had ever seen pizza with cheese stretching like this before. It had a soft, springy texture like string cheese and was delicious.

The grilled romaine (₩11,000) had a sauce that reminded me of Seoga & Cook, and paired with bacon, I enjoyed it quite a lot. The ingredients seemed fresh, so the vegetables themselves had a crisp texture too.

The shrimp oil pasta (₩19,000) had really plump shrimp and a moderate kick of spice.

Each shrimp was bigger than I expected, and the portion was just right. Every table had two kinds of Tabasco sauce, so you could add them to your taste.

Comfortable seating for dates and group gatherings

There were large tables set apart, making the layout good for group gatherings.

It looked like joining tables could seat 16 or more people, and I think it would work well for company dinners too.

The restaurant was fairly spacious, with plenty of room between tables, so voices from neighboring tables did not carry too loudly and it was nice for conversation. The interior had an overall calm atmosphere, making it comfortable to sit for a long time.

We ordered a little too much, and they neatly packed up the leftovers for us like this.

The restrooms were clearly separated by gender, and there was even a notice asking guests to contact the counter if they needed sanitary products. That felt very considerate, and the restrooms were quite clean. High chairs were available too, so I saw family groups and thought it would be a good place to visit with children.

There was also a varied drink and wine list, so it looked nice for having a casual glass alongside your meal. All the staff were kind, and one of the servers even looked like Park Seo-joon, haha. The restaurant felt clean throughout, and the seats were so comfortable that we could chat at our table for over an hour with no problem.

With group seating for company dinners, Smith's Farm could be worth a visit if you are looking for a date spot in Haeundae.
