Haeundae restaurant for a friends’ feast: Bueokgan

My friends and I wanted a relaxed meal in Haeundae, so we visited Bueokgan Haeundae Branch (부엌간 해운대점). We filled the table with everything from pizza to pasta, lasagna, and pilaf, and properly enjoyed it all haha.

Every dish looked so pretty, and the restaurant atmosphere was lovely too, so it felt great not only for a date but also for brunch in Haeundae with friends :)

Getting to Bueokgan on Haeundae's Dalmaji Hill

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is a European restaurant tucked into the Dalmaji Hill area of Haeundae~

Follow the uphill road from Dongbaek Elementary School and you can find it in front of Hillstate Weave. Take the stairs on the right side of the building, toward Hyeonusanho Mansion, and you'll reach the Bueokgan entrance :) There is a Chinese restaurant and Bueokgan Bakery on the first floor.

On the second floor is Bueokgan, the European restaurant I visited. It was fun that one building holds spaces with such different vibes haha. For parking, use the lot beside Bueokgan Bakery or the lot behind the building~

A sunlit vintage-classic space

The atmosphere is beautiful from the moment you walk in ♡

Bueokgan Haeundae Branch is said to be designed around the concept of a British vintage classic hotel. The calm, classic mood you feel as soon as you enter was so pretty :)

From the warm furniture and lighting to the vintage accessories placed around the room, it was fun to look around slowly too haha. The chairs used in the restaurant are said to be Czech TON chairs and Vitra pieces. It felt as though care had gone into every piece of furniture, making the whole space feel especially lovely.

Most of all, there are big windows on both sides that let in lots of sunlight. Since I visited during the day, the natural light made the atmosphere feel even warmer and prettier ♡ Bueokgan's signature semicircular tables caught my eye too. The tables are nicely spaced out, so it was great for taking our time over a meal while chatting with friends~

It would be lovely for a Haeundae date, and it seems like a great fit for a family meal or brunch gathering too :)

Five dishes my friends and I ordered

This time, I came with friends, so we picked a variety of dishes we wanted to try haha. The napa cabbage Caesar salad was ₩16,000, carbonara ₩19,000, lasagna ₩21,000, kung pao chicken pilaf ₩22,000, and jambon pizza ₩24,000, for a total of ₩102,000~!

When you visit as a group, you don't have to choose just one dish. We could order pizza, pasta, lasagna, and pilaf and share them all around, which was so nice ♡

Napa cabbage Caesar salad ₩16,000

Before getting into the main meal, we started with the napa cabbage Caesar salad, which was nice and light~ The crunchy napa cabbage had a lovely texture, and its savory flavor opened up the appetite so refreshingly :) It was also great to have alongside the pizza and pasta as we ate.

When you're ordering several dishes, adding one salad makes the combination just right~

Jambon pizza ₩24,000

The jambon pizza caught my eye with its looks the moment it arrived at the table! There was a generous amount of jambon ham on the golden-baked crust, and it looked delicious even before we started eating haha.

The outer crust was puffed up, while the middle was generously covered with cheese and jambon, so even one lifted slice felt quite substantial~ The salty jambon and nutty cheese went so well together that I kept reaching for more :)

It was perfect for putting in the middle of the table and sharing slice by slice with friends, and it paired really nicely with the carbonara too ♡

Lasagna and carbonara

If you like rich, creamy pasta, this is a dish you'll enjoy very much ♡

Kung pao chicken pilaf ₩22,000

Big pieces of chicken sat on top of the fried rice, so it had a real presence from the moment it arrived haha. Chopped scallions topped the golden chicken, and beneath it was a generous bed of glossy fried rice.

Information for children and corkage

It's comfortable for visiting with children too~ Bueokgan Haeundae Branch has high chairs and children's tableware ready, so families dining with little ones should be able to eat comfortably :)

With plenty of dishes that are easy for a group to share, from pizza and pasta to pilaf, it seems well suited to family meals too. And there's a nice bit of news for wine lovers~! Bueokgan Haeundae Branch operates with free corkage.

It is free for up to three bottles, and from the fourth bottle it is said to be ₩15,000 per bottle. Keep that in mind if you'd like to enjoy a relaxed meal with wine in a beautiful space~ 🍷

A Haeundae brunch spread shared around the table

We ordered a whole table of delicious food and ate slowly while chatting, and before I knew it, time had flown by haha. In this sunlit vintage space, we had everything from crisp napa cabbage Caesar salad to pizza piled with jambon, cheesy stretchy lasagna, creamy carbonara, and finally a hearty kung pao chicken pilaf~!

More than anything, the food looked so pretty that I kept taking photos haha.
